Thanks, JD. I was hoping for a positive review from someone here. My old lady is dying to see this flick. Hell, I've seen every other version, so why not? Based on your post, I might even enjoy it!

That's exactly how I read it at first glance. Every time.

I never eat at Chick Fil A. I prefer to have my consciousness influenced by the Colonel. That's if I'm conscious. I can eat Original Recipe in my sleep.

Damien Chazelle (director of Whiplash and La La Land) and Ryan Gosling as Neil Armstrong will probably get some Oscar buzz too. Just guessing.

The soundtrack and music is what will make this movie and will also garner major awards. Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real wrote the fictional music in the film for the Bradley character, and Gaga for her own, along with other significant contributions from a few other artists. The soundtrack will be a full double album including songs that aren’t even in the film.

That footage of Cooper performing was real footage from Glastonbury festival, they just jumped up on stage to take advantage of the permission they were given for a fake performance.

I heard Cooper did some drastic changes to his speaking voice for his character as well as contributed to the songwriting process throughout its entirety.

I like that Dave Chappelle will play a washed up former artist.

This is one movie I will go out of my way to see in theaters.

I pick up a spicy deluxe (no pickles) every couple of months, that's a good sammich. Never understood why CFA doesn't have onions, so I just take it home and add some reds and a little of their sweet Sriracha sauce. Never understood why they don't do spicy tenders either.

They are actually test marketing those in certain areas. So, we'll see if they catch on.

Sorry to hijack the thread. Continue on with the movie.

He jumped on stage during Kristofferson's set no less! And apparently he trained for a few years to sing and play guitar, and did train his voice for 3 months to be at a lower octave so he would sound more like Sam Elliott's brother.

I love that kind of dedication to a movie, to make it as authentic as possible. Even the subtle elements and little details, like the SNL scene and a certain someone's cameo, I loved.

This movie, man. So good, great chemistry between Gaga and Cooper. The last 20 minutes just get your tissues ready.

Why does it have to be either-or?

@Jontro will wring out your sad tissues and convert them to happy tissues, using your tears as lube.
