When good, honest Americans see these dregs of society protesting in the most vile, hideous manner, they are turned off. Frankly, it helps Republicans tremendously to see these protesters representing the Democrats. The people you see protesting look absolutely crazy. They do not look like trustworthy, hard-working people who are respectable. No sane person would ever want these protesters in charge of anything, making important decisions.

    GOOD DAY

Well, I would say this: the Democrats are arguing that due process is not involved, since this is not a criminal court case. I think that's a specious argument. There is a new way to ruin people's lives, through slander and job loss, death threats etc. So, due process is not only relevant in a court room setting. It is and should be relevant in all aspects of our social society.

Clinton ran for President and lost. Any presidential campaign is going to be rough and tumble. HRC was accused of a lot of things, but gang rape and assault were not among them. There's no comparing what happened to Kavanaugh with what happened with HRC.

The thing that is interesting to me is: is it time to revisit and revive slander laws? Because that's what happened to Kavanaugh.

    Here is the thing.

You NEVER win pushing unpopular things that the majority of the country simply doesn't want.

The Majority of the country wants LGBT people to be treated equally.
The Majority of the country wants reasonable abortion.
The Majority of the country wants affordable healthcare.

You can look at the polls on these things, I don't speak falsehoods here.

You are never going to get these things, Conservatives, without a heavy price to pay. No matter how much you want them. People are going to vote, if that won't work you'll be seeing more protests and you may see worse. Riots are, after all, are the language of the unheard.

Since the US is such a horrible country, you could move to Canada.

I am hearing a different side to this. That the driver was being violently attacked and accosted, by that girl and others, and he was just trying to get the hell out of there, and they refused to let him leave. And I could be wrong, but from what I hear, this driver has not been prosecuted. If that's true, I wonder why...….?

Or since you want to turn the US into something that the majority of the country doesn't want, you can move to Canada.

I dont have a problem with the US, even when Obama was in office. I just want people to quit blindly following their parties.

the way the country shows what they want is by voting. not with polls done by private firms. the country hasn't been voting for people who support the policies you mentioned above.

Its also very Orwellian of you to say 'the country want affordable healthcare'. As if there is some political group against affordable healthcare (doctors maybe).

I don't understand what my post has to do with people blindly following their parties though.

I was replying to the tweet about how those things could be impacted by the new SCOTUS.

I will ask you a question, freeform answer here, not a yes or no gotcha thing because I respect you as a poster here...

Do you think the GOP wins if they overturn Roe V Wade? Do you think the GOP wins if they go after any LGBT rights? Do you think that's a good thing for the country? Because we have conservatives rooting for these things to be attacked.

Go ahead, overturn Roe v Wade and make sure you strip rights from the LGBT community. See how it works out for you. People are really looking forward to going back to the 1950s.

There's one party that is working to rework our disastrous healthcare system and one party that is not.

Not sure why you are still trying to convince them.

The GOP does not want representative democracy, as it has been understood for the last century herem. This is not arguable.

Whether its vote suppression, ignoring the will of the people, or conspiring with hostile foreign tyrants and criminals to **** over your own democracy or just being a goddam nazi - the pushing of the unpopular things by autocrats is THE POINT of autocracy

Accept this. Act accordingly. This is a war. I'm not saying pick up a gun, but the resistance rhetoric is not just rhetoric.

I think a number of them outside have been arrested. But why the Capitol Hill police let these lunatics so close to the Senators inside the building is a mystery to me. Unless...……………[[more deep state conspiracy]]

I agree with you completely and the tactics by the GOP is clear. Ther gerrymandering, the tricks they do to try and discourage certain groups from voting, how ignorant they act towards Russia...

I know many of them won't be convinced, I was just responding to the tweet because so many conservatives seem so giddy that they will finally get to force their views and world unto others. It won't happen. I think they vastly underestimate the backlash they will face on certain issues. I dare them to do it...although I hope Roberts will come to the middle with it being his court now (I hope...not expect, I expect the worst from this SCOTUS) I dare them to try to make America to their 1950s paradise and see how that goes. Maybe they need to learn the lesson that no one wants this.

^^^ Unhinged lunacy... neither persuasive in the least, nor accurate. Just a defeated person lashing out with incoherent nonsense.

That dude lost his sanity after Trump was elected. It was funny at first but I'm worried for him now.
