Had a good time at the game... first 4 felt like no one would ever get a run and after the Bregman blast it felt like that might be it but then we chased Kluber

Great win... game 1 in a best of 5 is huge.

Headed out of town now but looking forward to tomorrow’s game.

I'm so glad October is here.

Let's see some more history in this great rivalry.

Then we'll dispatch whoever escapes...hopefully after a long war.

LOL at Yanks and their fans

Still this is the team that led us 3-2 in the ALCS last year after we went up 2-0 on them. Let's see how much fight back they have vs. Boston.

Question...is there another MLB postseason thread to discuss the other teams?

Yes, the closest IFer who is not recieving the throw is screaming/relaying at the top of their lungs. Have you been there in the infield with 40K screaming playoff idiots? I haven't. Respect.

It really should. Just make this a Baseball forum so all the related discussions can be in one place.

It completely redefined the fanbase and the players. Just knowing you are capable of winning it all is worth a lot.

Current Astros did Current Astros things.

90's underachieved so dastardly during playoffs..

Current squad wins with ease overall since '15.. which includes '16 No Playoffs''4w

Osuna, Pressly, Lance, McHugh, Sipp is a nice mix for 7-8-9

Yeah. Mostly have been behind the left field scoreboard where I spent a season working the scoreboard.

Have been on the field during warm ups a number of times and on the field a few times during playoff series years ago, primarily against the Braves.

I still have family in the organization and friends so I may have to go back to Houston if this team makes the World Series and hangout in the halls between the cafeteria, executive offices and the locker rooms. A lot of interesting people are milling around and a lot of good comments.

I'll take James and his 100+ mile/hr heat too. Harris also isn't a bad option given the matchup. Solid pen.

Yeah, I think those of us who watched in those days had our spirits crushed so many times. Always felt like we were just straight up outmatched most of the time. From that series with the Padres, or all of those series with the Braves, always seemed like our bats could never get it done against elite pitching. So nice that it's no longer the case, whether it's Sale/Jensen or whoever last year, or Kluber/Bauer so far this year.
