Don’t blame Thibs. Butler still likes him. Blame KAT and Wiggins for not maintaining Butler’s interest. Or blame Capela for destroying KAT, and Butler realizing he’d be wasting his prime.
Clint really did bring out the b**** in KAT. I don't think I have seen someone whine so much in a playoff game. It must have been really unattractive to Butler. Edit: Also I have never seen so many sports pundits give pointers on how KAT should play after getting his ass dusted by Clint. Everyone outside Houston was shocked by how badly Clint out played KAT it was unbelievable to them.
I just don’t like how he appears to be handling this trade situation. Not letting teams know what they want in return and then once he does the price is insane. It might be the GM’s fault but I’d guess he’s involved in that too.
He’s not obligated to give the media any information. Plus, owner is meddling. And someone, Codman/cyberx/ch44, said about 80% of leaks are coming from Butler’s side. How did Popovich handle this differently? And imagine if the Spurs owner tried to tell Pops to trade him now.
This situation is a little different. Leonard demanded a traded much earlier in the offseason so Pop had all summer to trade him before the season started. Thibs is in a tougher situation with the regular season coming up.
Yeah, but Jimmy B. was likely waiting to see: a) if KAT signed an extension; b) if the club tried to move Wiggins. It's pretty well known that he hated the work ethic of both of those guys, especially Wiggins*. * According to Zach Lowe: "Motion-tracking cameras recorded Wiggins 'running fast' during only 4.8 percent of his time on the floor, one of the 10 lowest such figures in the league, per Second Spectrum (almost everyone in his slowpoke vicinity is a plodding 7-footer)." Athleticism like that, but he runs fast less than Raymond "Waitress, more pancakes, please!" Felton?!? Regardless of how little motion the TWolves' offense employs, that's mind-boggingly lazy.
At least 80% are coming from Butler..... so is the narrative that he only wants to be traded because of KAT. Butler has wanted to be in NY or LA for years, it is the main reason the Bulls dealt him. They knew "Hollywood Jimmy" wouldn't resign.
Otto Porter makes 82 million dollars the next 3 years. Josh Richardson makes only 40 million dollars over the next 4 years. Is Otto Porter alone better than Josh Richardson and another free that makes 13 million dollars a year?
