Well right now Manchin isn't in trouble, but if he votes against Kavanaugh I would expect that to change. Currently he has a big lead, but that one action could make the race neck and neck as a bunch of people who currently support him expect him to vote for Kavanaugh.

When it comes to Heitkamp, voting yes would have been the only way to hold on to the seat, but the polls are so bad right now that a yes vote wouldn't even help. That seat is already lost. The mere process of the Kavanaugh hearings pushed the state back fully red.

 

Hitching your wagon to this psychologist was a mistake. Even some of your own party know this. There were better routes available.

Not by any stretch of the imagination.

Kavanaugh is going to get confirmed because he is a Republican, appointed by a Republican President and with a majority Republican Senate.... he isn't getting confirmed for any other reasons...

The majority of American's believe Ford over Kavanaugh...... and among independents it is even higher.

People know what is going on her...... hell you have John Paul Stevens saying that Kavanaugh should be disqualified.

The Democrats didn't really lose anything. They were not going to be able to keep Kavanaugh out, but they at a minimum exposed him for being the piece of **** human being that he is.

 

That she doesn’t know Kavanaugh at all.

 

That someone doesn't remember someone that they didn't go to school with 35 years from a party doesn't surprise me.

The only part that really surprises me or makes me curious is that Keyser and Ford never discussed this party before or the alleged assault. You would think it would have come up unless Ford just did not discuss it with anyone but her husband and therapist.

There are some very odd things all around about this whole situation..... it has been a black eye on the USA.

 

Well he voted yes then cried for an additional investigation and has come out and said no other evidence has surfaced so if he votes no then I don’t know what to tell ya other than Flake be Flakin’.

 

Ford doesn't really matter anymore it's all about Kavanaugh's performance at the hearing -- Brett had a meltdown demonstrating he doesn't have the temperament for the supreme court -- Justice Stevens is correct.

 

And I guess I just thought it was kind of an oddly strong statement to make saying that she didn’t know him at all considering she was supposedly Ford’s best friend at the time, she was someone named at that party, and considering that Ford said she had seen Kavanaugh at something like 5 other parties.

Let them go, the majority Americans aren’t quite as myopic our deranged friends on the left, it will play well come election time.
