Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Did you read the all 1000 pages of the FBI report? Or are you going off of what you are hearing this morning from your little echo chamber? Be honest, and don't lie to us.

There is reporting out there that nearly 40 cooberating witnesses were not able to get in touch with the FBI over this investigation. We also do not know what the limits were in the mandate that the White House ordered to the FBI. These are objective questions, and shouldn't have to be viewed as a partisan rant. You can say what you want obviously, but if you cry foul just on asking some simple questions, what does that say about YOU more than everyone else?

The obvious conclusion here is you need to look at the plank in your eye before pointing out a speck in everyone elses. You are spouting propagated lies from your echo chamber while trying to claim that everyone else is doing the same thing you are doing.

    ........

For the Record i think the week delay was good for the country to simmer down a bit, and I'm okay going to a vote now. If Collins and Murkowski want to still vote for someone who lied under oath, will surely overturn Roe in his capacity, and forever stain the court with the most blatantly partisan judge ever..... more power to them. It's their right as Senators. Everyone at some point has to choose team Trump or the opposition. You can't have it both ways.

Just remember... look at everyone in the past that has gotten into bed with Trump... everyone from his personal lawyer who pleaded guilty, to the investors who lost millions investing in Trump's failed Casino business, to the suckers that bought into his fake college with thousands of dollars of their own money.... Trump has a history of screwing everyone over in the long run just to prop himself up. Leaving everyone with nothing but problems while he lives on to the next controversy.

Everyone from his online fighters like yourself to his Team Trump Congressman will have to live with the aftermath of being in bed with Donald Trump. You want to vote for Kavanaugh Susan Collins.... more power to you. Enjoy team Trump the rest of your professional career.

Wait. There are still those who are surprised BK is going to get nominated? Even after all of the no-evidence he was accused of?

I shouldn't be surprised. These are the same people who relentlessly talk about Trump but take zero responsibility for backing Hillary.

I didn't think anyone was surprised. I thought everyone guessed that he would be confirmed. There are still people who don't believe he is qualified.

Meh, you mean confirmed. I don't think anyone is surprised, or very few anyway. People are disappointed. Lots of senators found Ford credible. Flake said "we can't have that" on the high court in referencing Kav's obvious partisan pettiness. But, he'll vote for him. All the senators who find Ford credible... will vote for him. All the senators who know the dude lied about trivial things under oath... will vote for him.

I don't find it surprising. I personally find it disappointing. I would prefer someone -- even with his exact conservative mindset -- who seemed more balanced and apolitical to the parties and was never accused of assault. (Gorsuch or similar.) Also someone who didn't seem so loyal to Dear Leader, praising him unnecessarily, etc. It's a terrible look and could have consequences that are not good for America.

Oh well. Turtle has jedi mind control of his colleagues.

Washington Post is reporting that Flake and Collins are "satisfied" with the results of the investigation, likely to vote yes to confirm

LOL... I clearly tell folks I voted for Clinton. And Obama before her. Its the trump defenders here who claim they didn't vote for trump (though some change their minds even about that).

So what's your current position on voting for trump?

Unlike all the folks here who say all the time "I didn't vote for Trump but...." (I'm going to be his freedom fighter online & own the libs on his behalf all day every day) I'll admit all day I voted for Hillary. By far the better candidate.

Who here is surprised Kavananugh is going to get nominated? Republicans always fall in line like sheep. You only become a Republican anyways out of self interest in the first place. If I was rich, or worked in a Republican lobbied industry like Oil & Gas I might vote Republican myself out of self interest. That doesn't mean I can't call a spade a spade with Kavanaugh. I'm perfectly within my right to state objective truths or my opinions about him as a SCOTUS judge candidate & how the White House & Senate are handling this process.

No reason why anyone wouldn't think that Collins, and Murkowski would ultimately take the best bad hand they were dealt. They gotta do what they gotta do to look out for their own self interest in the short term.... the long term, they are banking on finding a way to avoid responsibility.

Please stop spreading falsehoods about what people like me do or don't think. We are capable of speaking for ourselves thank you.

Unlike some of the republican senators who couldn't be bothered to actually read the FBI report before offering their comments, Senator Merkley has read the FBI report...

That is a really dangerous thing to say.

We now have a President and some Senators questioning the institutional hallmarks of our country...... when a majority of American people start to feel that way, it becomes a serious problem. If the veneer of respect is lost, we are screwed.

Just am really sick of people in power making flippant comments.

The celebration for Kavanaugh will be the most short lived in GOP history. Maybe shorter than that Beers in the Rose Garden party from 2017. I say if they want to celebrate Brett Kavanaugh, go for it. See who looks like a fool in 6 months.

Four words: Freedom of Information Act

Republicans are going to have a major problem on their hands for decades putting this guy on the Court. Coulda had another Gorsuch but no.... enjoy!

My position has never changed. Even if my vote was the one that would have changed the election, I still would never vote for Hillary. If I absolutely had to choose between the two, I would pick Trump. But fortunately I had other options. Which I did.

Thats fine. I may even criticize you. But I wont call you a liar. I am not going to pretend I know everything ... including the topic of this thread.

Waiting another week, in exchange for 30+ years of a conservative justice is fine by me.

...and with continued advancements in science (fetuses able to survive at earlier points), history will not look back kindly on the abortion era. Hopefully this is a first step towards ending it.

He's even more all-talk than Flake. I expect absolutely nothing from him.
FBI has its hands tied by Trump - they didn't interview Ford or Kavanaugh, and all the other stuff.

It's not really a shot at teh FBI so much as it is the sham process that the FBI is being used for here.
