What good would that have done, in your mind? You don't believe that Dr. Ford's testimony was sufficient? Did you want the FBI to go after her for perjury or something for lying about why she was in therapy?

As to not interviewing Swetnik, they probably didn't find her allegations credible.

There is zero proof about Kavanaugh being the victim of a smear job. That is a fact. Her team did not withhold evidence from the FBI. They did nothing out of the ordinary or against the law in wanting to talk to the FBI. In truth, that could only be helpful to an FBI investigation. It wouldn't be harmful.

anyone care that a candidate for the Supreme Court lied under oath committing perjury? Is that just normal 'spin' now?

You are correct and I was incorrect... they interviewed Ramirez (reportedly on Sunday), but none of the collaborating witness she listed (FBI acknowledged she provided a list of 20 that they didn't interview).

LOL, zero proof? That's the same amount of proof that he sexually assaulted someone and yet people still believe it.

No, the people who make the claim are actual witnesses. That is some proof. There is Kavanaugh's own calendar which shows he was with the people named doing the activities named in Ford's complaint. So there is some evidence. The evidence presented hasn't been enough for a conviction but it is greater than zero.

There was zero proof to support Ford's story of being a victim of sexual assault much less Kavanaugh being the assailant. That is a fact too.

If you're not going to keep up on things, don't comment.

"Lawyers for Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who accuses Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of attempting to sexually assault her, are refusing to turn over to Congress certain pieces of evidence she has cited to the Senate until she has been interviewed by the FBI, which is investigating the allegations"

The way her name was leaked to the republican hit squad, you don't think her concern about releasing her therapist's notes and other medical files weren't justified?

I am aware of her lawyers' demand. That is wise, and not harmful. It isn't withholding anything from the FBI. There was some proof of the assault and Kavanaugh being the accuser. There may not have been enough for a criminal conviction but as I said, there was more than zero. Kavanaugh's own calendar and her discussions of the assault long before Kavanaugh was a nominee for the court add credibility to her story.

Her lawyer would not be representing Ford properly if they just turned over the documents.

The Judicial Committee made all the rules, and had all the leverage.

Her lawyer said she would turn the documents over after she was interviewed by the FBI.

Honestly, with Trump refusing to turn over 1000's of pages of documents about Kavanaugh and the Republicans dumping tens of thousands of pages of documents about Kavanaugh in the Democrats lap hours before the confirmation hearing, I don't blame Katz for not wanting to turn over personal information to the committee.

The only good news is that a majority of people in the USA that are not blindly partisan saw this for what it was, a sham. The latest poll show that a majority of independents believe Ford......... 50%+ for independent men and something like 66% for independent women.

So, the confirmation will go through and if it bothers people enough that they were hoodwinked by the Republican Senate, then they can turnout and vote.

Republicans are fired up about a sham as well. This election should be interesting.

Republicans are fired up, and they tend to show up and vote.

The numbers for Democrats and Republicans on Kavanaugh split about what you would expect.

The only real interesting numbers are independents and white women...... which have been very strong for Ford.

Who knows what happens..... I do think that the Democrats take the house and maybe lose a senate spot....

A blue or red wave is possible........ and that would cause serious long term effects to the county.

If the Democrats turn out in big numbers and take the house and the senate, then Trump is looking a really messy last two years.

If the Republicans strengthen their control in the house and senate... then the Democrat party may implode and get behind a populist like the 2016 Republicans did.

Her lawyers aren't saying they won't release the notes. They are attaching a condition to their release.

Exactly! That isn't a problem at all, especially when their condition was something that would have actually helped the FBI.

I have evidence and I'm not giving it to you unless.....

What proof of assault was there besides the words of a woman that were easily discredited?

It's up to the FBI to decide what helps the FBI. Jeez man.
