What is it you think he is “aggressively” offering that you wouldn’t care to lose to a one-year rental? If you say Gordon, then most will probably say he’s not worth losing for a one year rental. I would. If you say less than EGo, then that’s not a real trade scenario that anyone is reporting. The Trade will involve pain. Such assets won’t be traded without Morey first getting green lit to use Bird Rights to their fullest, if needed.
ah look, another bad take by Holic. The Rockets will either be playing well enough they don't want to hurt chemistry by adding Butler or playing bad enough that the players involved in this trade like PJ and Gordon will be seen as worse assets. This trade happens now unless by some magical force Brandon Knight plays so well he's up for MIP and becomes an asset.
Gordon has already turned down an extension. I think that makes the Rockets less worried about this trade. I think the hurt comes from losing the 2 picks that will most certainly be gone to help the Wolves dump Dieng.
That was not my main point. You are distorting again. You have a bad habit of doing that. I said Butler isn't our primary target. But he is a target. I clearly stated that before this started. Kawhi, Butler, Winslow, Oubre, jr. And as I have already stated....we'll take butler at the right price. But we'd rather have a much younger Winslow on a rookie deal, facing restricted free agency in a tight market.
No, all you don't know that and didn't know that. Many here incorrectly assumed Tucker was on the table and when I said he wasn't and wouldn't be traded they denied I knew what I was talking about. I don't have time time look up your sordid comments. But you're probably in there too.
So, just to be clear, you’re saying Morey is uninterested with helping Minny dump Dieng. Morey will refuse to add filler to get Butler, because the filler is too much. if Dieng is a problem, thats about complexity of Morey having to find a 3rd team...not about Morey holding onto his filler assets.
It really is this, just like heypartner posted below Morey and Tilman know what the plans are and Morey is not hamstringed or he wouldn't be involved. Trades like this do not get better for the trading team because teams have been able to wait out the competition. I am convinced the only reason the Rockets were even in this is because of Thibs' circus act. It has provided the window to make everyone show their hand and break off momentum. I literally think it is down to Morey finding a way to offload Dieng onto Sac with maybe a 4th team involved for assets. I agree with the initial outline of the trade and I think Morey is willing to throw in the 1sts and 2nds it takes to get this done and leave PJ alone. I still maintain that if it is done in two trades with us taking on Teague for Knight and still move Dieng to Sac I think that makes our offer a done deal. To me the deal is essentially Gordon and as much salary relief as they can get. We would get Butler, Teague, T Jones and clean up our bench in exchange for the lost assets.
I think if Morey really wants Butler with eyes on giving him a max contract he’d be more willing to lose multiple draft picks in the effort to help Minny dump him, yes. This is all speculation because there has yet to be a source that links the Rockets to finding a third team for Dieng (from what I’ve seen)
Of course you don't.... because I said all along there was no way that we would give up PJ. Especially not when he's in the middle of recruiting players to join our team and an intricate part of what makes us a great team with excellent chemistry. I'm not "probably in there too" because I can actually make a sensible quantification on basketball related topics... yet, somehow, that still doesn't incline me to believe that it makes me some type of insider. You're a phony, fraud, fake, and annoying the crap out of everyone when you hijack threads with the BS you spew. The target is and has always been Jimmy Butler. You throwing out all these random teams and players to push your Justice Wins Low agenda is full of propaganda (among other things). Take that hot **** somewhere else.
My apologies for lumping you in with those that thought we were going to trade Tucker. The rest of your post is unjustified vitriol. Not worth any more of my time.
As to getting a third team to unload Dieng on; Dieng straight up for Knight works, and it works today. I can't imagine Knight or that contract is the stumbling block over getting Butler.
When is the last time an actual insider, in this thread, has said anything substantial and new regarding this situation. Asking for a friend.
fify Settle down, Francis. Sorry that’s what I meant,,,”primary target.” Maybe we will get Winslow, but if you are going to quote Kelly to further your claims, you first should address that Kelly and everyone has Butler as primary focus of Morey right now. I mean, I’m sure Morey has Anthony Davis higher on his target list, too, and he ranks many cheap gets higher too (for little risk reasons), but that doesn’t mean his current focus has anything to do with Winslow...hell, all the Heat news isn’t attaching Morey to a 3-way with them, either.
Yesterday - Cyberx said Morey is being very aggressive. That said when the rest of the world is talking about Miami.
Aren’t the reports about Minny wanting to move Dieng about cap/tax relief? Knight doesn’t provide that.
Don't watch many heat games, can someone please tell me what's so good about Josh Richardson? Just seems like a regular role player to me?
