I'm almost 100% sure Beto mailed himself the fake letter for the free publicity. He's the one guy willing to do it. He sees the writing on the wall and is getting desperate.

With the exception that they've done something very similar to this just a couple weeks ago?

@RocketsLegend why can’t these Republicans run honest campaigns and stick to their policies? All I’m seeing is attack ads and shady mailers. Why can’t they speak on the issues?

Your desperation in trying to sling mud on this is truly funny and pathetic at the same time. Must be so nervous in the trump/cruz camp...

Yup and I hope Beto isn't stupid enough to apologize for it or even acknowledge it. If the Zodiac Killer brings it up to gain interest or sympathy Beto should categorically deny that he or any of his supporters had anything to do with it and say to suggest so would be frontier justice mob rallying not fit of a lawmaking senator.

LOL, weak AF friend. B E T O has publicly shamed himself and publicly apologized in the most humble manner.

Cruz the Zodiac Killer, not even close. Having said that... Cruz would apologize for Jesus and the Holocaust if he thought it would help him win.

With that exception. But the exception is pretty weak. In that mailer, despite the misleading envelope, it did disclose itself as a Cruz campaign letter on the inside in compliance with campaign law. This letter doesn't do that. Cruz's letter had been misleading but this would be a whole other level of violation if it came from his office. It also looks amateurish. So, I'd wait for some real indication before blaming this on Cruz. Looks more like a lame copycat criminal to me.

Fair enough. I should've said "more idiocy from the Cruz side" instead of campaign.

So far, all the ads I've seen from the Beto campaign have been about working together, children, puppies, rainbows and unicorns. None of them have mentioned Cruz by name and none of them have mentioned Trump by name.

All of the ads I've seen from the Cruz campaign have been about Beto being an anti-flag, cop-hating, Hillary-supporting, socialist who wants to take your guns away, roll out the red carpet for all illegal immigrants and move them into your garage.

Now, which strategy do you think is going to work in Texas............................................

I wish Beto had a little bit of troll in him.

When Cruz made the stupid tofu bbq joke I would have found a chef, perhaps Franklin, to shoot a video with hitting up the smoker and saying this is how we bbq in Texas, not sure what you Canadians do.

But he’s trying to come off as Mr. Perfect. As Maher says, the problem with Democrats is they’re p*****s.

Because their policies are both objectively bad for America and not at all popular with voters.

I know we all know this, but it needs to continue to be said.

The GOP purposefully pursues objectively bad policies, against the will of the people, and they know it.

He needs to be appealing to the Dems as well as the anti-Trump Repubs. Can't do that if you don't even reference Cruz/Trump in your ads.

There needs to be an ad that specifically mentions Cruz lubing up and bending over for Trump even after he insulted his wife and accused his dad of assassinating JFK. Show the tweet. Show the footage.

"Ted Cruz talks about 'Texas values'.....but are those really the kind of values that represent Texas?" paid for by the foundation to impeach Trump

    Something to that effect.
