Are there any witnesses? Why did they wait so long?

Should have told the police a long time ago.

A few basics that you easily find from relevant sources on handling sexual assault and in teens in particular

    1. They blame themselves e.g. they may wonder if they were flirting too much or wearing sexy clothes.

    2. Fear how parents, family and friends will react if they find out e.g. will they believe them, blame them and/or take sides?

    3. Feel ashamed, angry, sad, different, lonely, anxious, betrayed, depressed, or as if they will never be able to trust anyone again.

    4. Feel guilty or confused because the parent know/trust the attacker, and worried the parent will not believe their story e.g. Mother's boyfriend assaults the daughter

5.Fear that they will get in trouble with the parent or police if it happened while they were doing something wrong e.g. sneak out late, drinking underage etc

6.Worry that it’s their fault for accepting a drink that was drugged or following someone into an isolated room/location

    7. Think that nobody understands how she or he feels and that they are alone, and thus conclude that parent wont be able to help so why tell them

Here's the distinction he tried to make

He may have confused passing out with blacking out.

He added that about blacking out because he was trying to get away from the lying he was doing about passing out.

You are making an excuse for him saying he was confused about passing out and blacking out, but that is your excuse. It isn't something that he himself said.

You are going out of your way to rationalize the lies that he told.

Sir, that's exactly what you are doing. He did what's called clarifying a statement. He specifically stated what the allegation was.

Oh my god. You’re in your 50’s? Aren’t you the dude who was just talking about taking the “red pill” and misinterpreting libertarian theory like you recently finished your Atlas Shrugs Cliffs Notes? Jesus. I’d pegged you at 22, max. That is just tragic.

Lol cause he has to down play. Just by saying he use to drink a lot in college, these liberals are so ****ing crazy, they would crucify him as a rapist by claiming he can’t remember. Just by saying he use to drink they are trying to claim him as some blackout drunk blackout rapist and you know it.

In a perfect world he shouldn’t have to downplay his drinking behaviors, but liberal logic is to stupid to handle something like that

Lol dude people lie in job interviews all the time. My roommate who never went to college put on his job application that he graduated from university and got hired at Dell for it and has worked there for 3+ years

Do you think Kavanaugh should have believed in your logic about "of course he is going to lie to protect his personal life image" premise with Clinton when he tried to impeach him over lying about a blow job?

Also, this is a a job interview under SWORN testimony for the highest court position in the country where integrity is one of the most important traits in the qualifications for the job.

Your friend wasn't caught lying at his job interview. If he was, I can't imagine that he would have gotten the job. If he did have blackout drunk episodes then it does mean that there are things he couldn't remember. It would not have proved he tried to sexually assault anyone, but it would show that he could have and doesn't remember.

Him repeatedly lying in his job interview for the top court in the land isn't acceptable. It isn't okay, and you shouldn't make excuses for him.

He also specifically stated that he never passed out. This whole thing was brought up because @tallanvor claimed that he admitted to passing out because of booze several times in his testimony.

The turtle should announce your logic to his fellow senators. It's really an excellent argument for a Supreme Court justice.

Man the worm has turned in this forum.

Liberals around this place used to gleefully predict the death of the Republican party and that **** all came crashing down at hands of a reality star turned President. Now they are clinging to political relativity with the hope that writing on a preppy school yearbook of what they desperately want people to believe was teenage butt sex. It appears Hillary's candidacy boofed the Democratic party

He's Dumb Obama, but he is super strong. Unfortunately for Spartacus every time he tries to sound moderate his eye betrays him by wandering farther to the left.

It isn't the hope of anyone. That is what it is. Kavanaugh lied about it. People used the term whether they engaged in anal sex or not. There is a form of the term in the song from the time period "Valley Girl".

It was commonly used. Kavanaugh used it back then and lied about it now. The fact that it isn't something so significant or important makes it worse that he feels the need to lie about that stuff.

Interesting. If this is how he really felt, then I wonder why he even asked for the fbi ck? (Seeing how this has gone, there are easily two exact opposite answers)
