Don't worry when we make it to the ALCS and the World Series they have no other option but to put us in Primetime
I don’t get why Milwaukee vs whoever gets the nod over the Astros in scheduling. We’re the ****ing champions.
Couldn’t agree more. Must be because Selig still has a lot of pull in the commissioners office despite being retired.
They're betting on the Cubs tonight, so that NLDS game gets the late afternoon Friday, Boston gets prime time and the Dodgers host the late game
Here's the full schedule with tv networks that will get updated as needed: https://sports.yahoo.com/mlb-postseason-field-set-heres-schedule-watch-234655907.html
Apparently MLB wants to alternate AL and NL games, and with the Dodgers involved, made the AL game the first one of the day. Therefore, the Astros got the shaft because Boston and possibly the Yankees are in the playoffs.
This must be new, and it sounds like bullsh!t (not shooting the messenger), because last year on the 1st Friday of 4 games they went AL/AL/NL/NL.
If I recall correctly, it has been the Game 1s getting the last two games the first Friday of the playoffs in 2015-2017. Prior to that I didn't care or it was just to long to remember.
That still doesn't explain the "AL/NL alternate" thing we're talking about, since both NLDS game 1s are on Thursday. Betting it has to do with the game 163s. Not that I personally really care but I still say it's TV related and Bud Selig somehow has his hands in it
Just saying the alternating thing hasn't happened in at least 3 years. If Game 163s mattered, NL games should be both late games. It seems it has more to do with what outlets/MLB wants than anything fair to each team.
You mean that crowds of people from the field boxes/clubs were not in the concourse when the game started?
