Go look at what Curry, Durant, and Klay shot in the regular season. Then look at what they shot vs us in the series. It was about the same but if you look at the Rockets shooting it fell way off in the Warriors series.
I wonder if this could drag out to late October. If so, a few things to keep in mind: 1) Knight and Chriss can be aggregated with other salaries on 10/31. 2) The Rockets must make a decision on whether to pick up Chriss' 4th year option by 10/31. Being able to include Chriss and Knight in a deal could make the Rockets offer more robust, and allow them to keep Tucker. But again, this would need to drag on for another 3 weeks before it could become public.
not even sure why you even tagged me. if you're under the impression that defense isn't important you're sadly mistaken you might want to look at what those guys shot in the losses vs the rockets. its not the "same"
THIS is what i have a problem with, if you dont think our defense is what took us to 7 that series than i dont know what to tell you.
Since everyone is waiting for a trade that most likely will not involve the Rockets...... lets waste time by examining the life of Tom Tibodeau. Here is a young and svelte coach Thibs in 1989-1991 Here you get to see the effect of 18 hour days and Arby's for dinner 6 nights a week. The hair is thin, he is clearly sleepy and he looks hung over. Approximately 2002-2003 Here is Thibs, clearly heavier and nearly 20 years of stress have take a toll on him. This picture is from approximately 2006 when he was the defacto head coach of the Celtics. Here is Thibs during the best of his Bulls years. This is before we all learned about Derrick Rose gang raping people and his "man belt" Last we see the most recent Thibs, in Minnesota. The season has not started, hence the smiles
I think you will see staggering between Harden and Melo just as we saw staggering between CP3 and Harden. With CP3 and Harden, we wanted 1 playmaker on the court at all times. With Harden and Melo, I think we will want to limit our potential defensive liability to just 1 player. They will still have to play about 10 minutes together (assuming Harden's regular minutes and Melo getting about 25), but I think at those times we would have Capela and Ennis on the floor to help out. So the goals are: 1) Ennis and Melo play as much time together as possible. 2) Harden and PJ play as much time together as possible. 3) When Harden and Melo share the court, Ennis and Capela are also on the floor. Finding a competent center behind Capela that can switch like Capela would actually go a long way to giving Melo more time.
I remember telling people they might be unstoppable once I saw them in preseason. Also, Coach Nick called it as well.
They have a shot at a 2nd round exit with a healthy, happy, and motivated Jimmy Butler. Without him, they will be scouting who to take with their lotto pick.
Nobody is going to up their offer for Jimmy Butler. Everyone knows that when push comes to shove the owner, Glen Taylor, is going to get fed up and make a trade. The closer we get to the season and Butler is "on leave" the more pressure will build up. Every day the story will be Butler and not the Wolves upcoming season. Things will come to a head.
Agreed, 90% pretty sure a deal will get struck before regular season. Hope this doesn't turn into a Kawhi dilemma and he sits out the entire season.
What happened to all this 545 Tuesday talk I don’t member where I heard that here but I’ve definitely seen it many times, not that I really believed it , but man I hope morey overpays to get him I’m cool with that
Knight is not likely to be traded because of his injuries, but Chriss can be moved. I like your thinking. It's crazy Minnesota who everyone is dealing with, so there might be a remote chance of a Butler trade by Oct 31st.
