The D scored a TD but that was all on the Special Teams making a great play, followed by the Colts screwing the pooch on the snap.
You can't blame Crennel for JJo being washed up. You can blame him for not seeing this ahead of time. Don't they have CB's who are capable of playing other than K Jo and J Jo? What about on the practice squad? They need to address the situation immediately. As I mentioned before, the Texans need every bit of help they can find. It's time they stopped sitting on their hands all week only to be surprised come Sunday.
Such a stupid stupid choice of our brainless minds in charge. Let your best pass defender go. I'm missing him every game. This secondary is Horrible!!!
I just noticed Andre Chachere is still on our practice squad. I liked what he did during preseason. Why hasn't he been called up. Also the veteran Natrell Jamerson.
Jamerson is a rookie..It would be interesting to get a look at Chachere. Hopefully Colvin is okay but if not one of those guys will probably will be called upon.
Blaming the secondary is too easy. I counted three times in the second half that we brought more than 4 at Luck. All three times it was an incomplete pass or sack. I was screaming at the TV the whole 4th quarter about letting Luck sit back in the pocket and pick us apart. No secondary in today's game can cover receivers that long with a good qb on the other side. The other thing I noticed is that the linebackers all were faking blitzes on every play, but at the snap of the ball they would immediately back pedal putting them at extreme disadvantage for slants etc. for the much quicker receivers. The fake blitzes won't work if you never unleash any of them. If you are bound and determined to rush 3 or 4 exhausted linemen at least put you linebackers in a position to succeed.
Yep. Only a few teams in the league that don’t have fans calling for the secondary. Gotta get creative. So many 3rd and longs we let Andrew just sit back and find the open guy
That's true, but I think he also puts him in good positions to succeed. He doesn't make it harder on him like OB does with the offensive players.
The Colts were starting their second string OTs and the Texans should have been to find a way to exploit this on all passing downs. Watt and Clowney both had 2 sacks but more was expected from the rets of the front seven.
