I bet that Marwin would finish below his lifetime OPS of .738. He was at .739 coming into the game. :)

Did you check the rounding? That's hilarious.

Has a 100-win team (much less defending WS champ) ever been 1-hit on the last day of the season? We may not be done setting records yet.

His 0-3 got him well below .737. I was worried he wouldn’t play and I’d lose the bet.

I didn't even notice that he was playing today, that's still a great bet.

Took my grandmother to brunch and am now back home and in the 3Q of the Texans game.

They got it to 10.5-9.5 for a good start, but it was all downhill from there.

That's a shame. We'll take the World Series, Super Bowl and NBA Championships...they can have the World and Ryder Cups. I'm cool with that.

eta: sounds like a great trip, that course looked amazingly cool.

Pretty sure I’d shoot a 125+ on that course, :) unless I only use a 7 iron and putter.

All that’s missing is the “for the love of the game” soundtrack.

Maybe the same people who do the Titanic song dubbing on epic highlights could do that for this.

How many guys grow up in a place, get drafted #1 in that place, win 3 batting titles and an MVP in that place, and play their whole career there?

    It's pretty cool to me.

Definitely is. I was getting emotional and I have absolutely no ties to the Twins or Minnesota.

Also reminded me of all the **** they got early on when Prior was looking like the second coming.... even though the Cubs did eventually get that WS.

Other than the growing up here, that's Altuve.

Is it Biggio and Bagwell's faults that they were born yankees?

Mark Prior and Mark Appel, that worked out really well.

Unrelated, but this is the best thing that ever happened or came out of the Rangers clubhouse. Never could hate him, he was just too damn good and classy:
