I am guilty of being a little too excited in my post after that HR. I didn't see until that replay a few posts up that the dude did slightly shove the ladies in the back and reached into their space to catch the ball. Watching it live, I thought the ball was going to land in between them, and he simply reached up above their hands to catch it while staying occupied in his personal space. It's understandable that he was that excited to make a catch like that on the road, but yeah it would've been nice of him to give the ball to the O's fans (if they had no intention of throwing it back onto the field of course). I'm sure the Astros and/or Orioles would've recognized the kind gesture and gotten him another souvenir afterwards.
Yep, he'll play somewhere (he'd be a great 4th OF for anybody) but they're giving him a going away party this series. He deserves it, from what they were saying on the O's broadcast yesterday he's a strong community guy and is much loved in Baltimore.
Just got home and missed first 3 innings. How did Charlie do? Short start today or did he get pulled again? My heart cant take the suspense! lol
Scheduled short start. Fastball was hitting 96+, averaged 95+ (per Chandler Rome tweet), threw a couple of great breaking balls.
I love Tony Kemp, but I guess we're seeing why he isn't trusted at second base. Tough play, but I still think Gold Glover Altuve makes it. I wonder what role he plays next year, it will be tough to crack the everyday lineup, especially with Tucker rising. Now Whip it good, Devo!
If you had told me in May or whenever that he and Devo would be left off the postseason roster I'd have thought you were crazy. But here we are.
I just wanted Morton to get his 200 strikeouts for the season, that and Bregman possibly getting more doubles were all I cared about today.
Keuchel is our 4th best pitcher going into the playoffs. JV could rotate in too in critical games . He’s just not as reliable as last few years kemp is prob trade bait . We have some great assets to make a splash for a SP and/or big bopper bat
He and White and Stassi are showing how young players can get exposed after a hot period as part-time players, once you start giving them regular PT and the league gets a book on them.
Yep, my thought exactly. Kemp, Fisher Peacock, and probably White all make pretty good trade bait. We have a ton of depth, would be nice to make use of it to address the Rule 5 problem, and get either another ace starter or big bat.
What plan is that? Personally, id like the Dodgers to lose and then get knocked out via wildcard. As things are, a one game playoff Dodgers/Rockies?
The plan is to have 2 game 163s tomorrow to determine the divisions/WCs. Think of it as pre-wildcard wildcard games.
