Auto correct wouldn't even let me do it. Lol Fixed. At least it didn't change it to Rubio to out me as a @basketballholic burner account.
Not sure how much it means, but 5dimes has the Rockets championship odds at +885 and over under at 55.5 -150 on the over. Last time I checked a few days ago odds were +1000 and -130 on the over, so a pretty decent move in the lines.
Couple of things to watching in terms of "timing." Miami Heat play today (Sunday) and again on Tuesday. Rockets play on Tuesday. Wolves play their next game on Wednesday. Kings play Monday and then on Thursday. *IF* a Butler deal goes down, it probably isn't going to happen when the teams play. And of course we have to watch for players being held out. Sunday night and into Monday afternoon could be the time something gets done if teams are ready to pull the trigger.
I know you're likely trolling, but been wanting to research cyberx' first comment on Butler ever since he mentioned it in the OP of this thread. "Months ago." You mean on June 4th, when @cyberx first broke Butler (which he alludes to in the OP), followed by basketballoic refuting it by saying it's misdirection to trade Wiggins. That was June 4th, page 9 of the Paging cyberx 2.0 thread. Page 16 fwiw: holic also uses cyberx as a source. Same thread. @Jack Kingoff Nice try trolling noob, but you might want to read more on the board, first, and trust cyberx when he says something is new. 'holic didn't say a Butler trade could happen until July 20th, only saying cyberx's Butler news was misdirection prior. In June, holic was all about Lebron %s, didn't get on the Butler train until late July.
is the witch hunt over? can we go back tonot being cavemen and women and just talk hoops!? honestly at this point I like our team with our without butler. its the waiting that hurts
My humble opinion, even if you can get JB to commit verbally (might be illegal), you can't hang your hat on that. Things happen during the course of the season. Decision to trade for him must include this possibility regardless if what he says now.
Trade 1 Knight to Minnesota Dieng and Houston 1st to Sacramento Shumpert to Houston Trade 2 Tyus to Phoenix Daniels and Phoenix 2nd to Sacramento Butler to Houston Gordon, NeNe, Cauley-Stein and Houston 1st to Minnesota Combined outlook Houston out: Gordon, nene, knight, 2019 1st, 2021 1st Houston in: Butler, Shumpert Minnesota out: Dieng, Butler, Tyus Minnesota in: Gordon, nene, WCS, knight, Hou1st Sacramento out: Shumpert, WCS Sacramento in: Dieng, Daniels, Hou1st, Phx2nd Phoenix out: Daniels, 2nd rd pick Phoenix in: Tyus
Its really kinda sad tbh. I really thought after seeing what he did in Chicago he would bring the Wolves higher than they were.
I can't imagine a preseason game schedule is going to make any difference. They'll pull the trigger when they're ready to pull the trigger.
To me the tricky part is what Sacramento gets back. Which Houston first to they get? 2019 or 2021? My guess is the Wolves get the 2019 pick. So the Kings take on a bad contract (Dieng) and move a PLUS asset in WCS and get back a Houston 2021 first and a Phx 2nd? Not sure that will cut it. Though the PHX 2nd might be sneaky asset since they are bad. All along it feels like the Kings/Dieng piece to this puzzle is holding things up. (with the Rockets holding back Tucker in the deal).
