It really is a terrible take isn't it? I mean that "by any means necessary" BS always comes back to bite people in the end. While the prosecutor the Republicans used was ultimately ineffective in doing her job, she was incredibly polite, as was every Republican when it comes to treating Dr. Ford as well as possible....you then immediately see every single Democrat fiercely attack a man who they have heard story after story about how he's an upstanding guy of high character and decency and they did so in the most disgusting of ways. That contrast IMO should be shown time and time again. No class, no decency, just a lynch mob out to string up an innocent man for political purposes.
She's a hero to half the country and getting rich off it. Guarantee you she gets a book deal on top of this. Kavanaugh's motivation is to clear his name from false accusations. You'd do the same.
After reading her account, I would actually like more details, I'm curious if what she's talking about was a real rape or if it was a situation where 2 people were drunk had sex and she merely regretted it afterwards...especially with him being an ******* and kicking her out when he was done. Either way, if she wrote about it in her diary she'd have infinitely more corroboration to her account than Dr. Ford.
What are you talking about? I don't even recall that you had a son. Slur? Frat-tard? That's a slur? My goodness. That makes me an awful person to mock someone for being in a drunken fraternity??? I didn't know the frat brothers were special needs! I mean, 80% of you guys use "lib-tard" with impunity, and you cry over "frat-tard"??? Holy PC.
I just can’t get over the fact that people think it’s him when he has three witnesses saying it didn’t happen. Do witnesses not matter anymore? Shoot, even one of the witnesses was her good childhood friend!!!! I mean come on. Republicans are chastised for basing things off facts!? Weird world we are stepping in.
My apology. It was Rocket River, not you. I stand by my comment about the slur. If I used a slur used to demean a minority group to make fun of someone else you wouldn’t like it either. While BTG and I agree on a lot of things we had it out over this subject. Again I apologize for the confusion
No worries. I just don't get why you aren't up in arms over libtard which is used so frequently on here.
I remember. It's something that I still say, but knowing how you feel about it, i make an effort not to do so.
I have said something about it before. You have control over you. You now know that phrase is offensive to many people You either show respect or you don’t. You decide who you are. The what about them excuse went away when you become an adult. There’s no double standard in the special needs community either. The word or any variation isn’t ok for anyone to use
There's no way to prove what really happened 30+ years ago, so it's he said vs she said. She is 100% certain it was him. He is 100% it was not him. Who's more likely to have lied? The answer is pretty easy -- it's who has the most to lose, and it ain't Dr. Ford.
Yeah, but it's not "he said, she said" it's "she said, they said". Who is most likely to be incorrect? The person with absolutely no corroboration or evidence to back her claims....I mean, obviously.
Most sexual assault incidents happens behind closed doors with no other witnesses. No $hit there won't be any supporting evidence. The other guy supposedly involved has yet to testify. Considering she's not even the only person to come forward against him, it's more like they said, they said.
There were 4 other potential witnesses who could have placed Ford at the party, all 4 gave sworn statements that it didn't happen, including a close personal friend of hers. There is not a single credible accusation against Kavanaugh....but we know how the "believe women" lynch mob works
I think society has evolved and people are generally more aware today. I think it’s a good thing overall even knowing that some people overreact. I was at an Autism fathers meeting. One of my very best friends in life runs the group. We had a team building event where we were all supposed to build a case for our favorite NFL team having a good year for the upcoming season. When it came to Cowboy fan guys time (a white guy) we all piled on. 2 of the black fathers (one is my friend who runs the group) were playfully ragging the guy pretty good. Cowboy fan said something like you two milk duds (both had shaved heads). Neither guy took offense at the time. Afterward I told my friend that I was offended by what the guy said but I didn’t say anything because it was not my group. I said I don’t want that to become the norm at the meetings because I respect both of you and don’t want either of you to think that’s who I am. He thanked me and talked to the guy. No hard feelings with anyone afterward and we set standards for mutual respect. Had the world not changed, I would not have noticed that slur and wouldn’t have thought it could have been offensive to my friend. Autism brought us together. Mutual respect is what made us become friends. We have the tough discussions. We don’t always agree but more often than not we do. People thinking beyond their own box isn’t a bad thing.
