Nope it’s because CP3 hit some crucial, clutch shots for us and playmaked, something neither Ego or Tucker can do.
This Butler saga is all about money. $190 million of it. Butler wants his money. True! The repeater luxury tax is a very serious tax. The owners know it. They know the repeater luxury tax specifically sucks up any profits they might have and eats into their franchise value capital gains True! The idea that we're gonna pay 3 guys $110-120 million per season for the next 4 years after this second luxury tax season is ludicrous. True! We don't want Butler!
i agree 100%. i just think having 2 new elite forwards to play with for harden and cp is gonna unleash a whole other level of game for us. we are already unstoppable at the 3. think about how good we'll be with harden and cp now able to feed on the inside whenever they want.
That’s fine, just know that history has always disagreed with you. Offense trumps defense, this is a basketball truth.
Why is Tillman paying the luxury tax our concern? That's his concern, and he seems to be ok with it or they wouldn't be pushing this hard for a trade. Our concern should be the franchise putting together the best team possible to beat the Warriors.
What makes you think this is anything but a gamble by Morey and tilman? Butler is a rental. We win a championship and it’s worth it. He walks next summer? Tilman is out of the luxury tax. This is a Win/win for Tilman
Butler and Ennis would be new lob targets for cp3 and harden also now melo, ennis and butler can attack the closeouts something ariza ryan and tucker cant do Our offense could be not just better but something far better than NBA has ever seen
No it really hasnt, you need BOTH good offense and defense. I cant believe I've entertained this for so long, I'm done.
That's why we had brought in MDA, Ego, and Ryno right? You need great offense to win, preferably good defense though OK defense works too. There is a reason why teams like the Grizzlies don't win.
Why is it so difficult for u to get that having PJ on the team means PJ + Melo + Capela. Not Melo replacing PJ. Melo + Capela + Butler does not make the PF/C better. Why is this so hard?
I think Morey is ok with moving Friar Tuck (I obviously would prefer he stays / not included) because he can envision trading Knight (esp. if we get Tyus Jones in the deal) for a replacement - Miami for James Jonson 2 years, $30M vs. 3 years, $45M - Brooklyn for K. Faried probably not appealing to Brooklyn because Faried is an expiring K - pick up Darrell Arthur for rest of TPE after he gets cut by Nets - Memphis for JaMychal Green + filler @Codman has been all over this (also good to see you interacting big fella - Clutchfans is a better forum when Codman is sharing ) Or Morey truly believes Bruno has arrived!
Why is it so difficult to for you to get that if we trade Ego + Tucker for Butler, that means Melo replaces Tucker in our small ball line up? "Melo + Capela + Butler does not make the PF/C better" is a worthless and quite frankly, r****ded argument. It's not if it makes PF/C better, it's whether it puts our team in a better position to beat GSW which it absolutely does IMO. Why is this so hard?
