i really feel like yall are underestimating marquese chriss and how similar of a presence he can be like tucker is. the dude has a center's body but can move like a pf (one could argue a poor man's sf in rare cases too). just sayin, if pj is dealt, we'll be good. look at this kid move... he's gonna be a solid addition

I think Fertila is definitely a major driving force behind the Rockets push. Morey has always been one who looks partially into the future even as he tries to win now. But the Rockets trying to get Dieng contract means likely 2 1st round picks are on the table plus possibly EG and Tucker involved. This is a major win-now deal with the issues later type of move, consequences be damned. Personally I welcome it. Even if in 2-3 years we may suck and be out of a 1st round pick.
We have seen Morey move on from mistakes many, many times. Mistakes that would have derailed any other franchise for years, Morey gets out from under it in a year or less.

You can’t be serious. There is a lot more to being a great defender than athleticism. Chriss’s basketball IQ is lacking and he does not have the defensive instincts Tucker does. Also, Tucker can guard both wings, and bigger guys in the post. Chriss doesn’t have the lower body strength to be the low post defender Tucker is.
