Sounds reasonable in theory... Democrats get their investigation and republicans put a clock on it to halt the delay. However, we know it will be a total circus for a week and the BS will start flying.

If Ford truly believes something happened to her then it's pretty despicable for these people to force her to come forward and go through that. They put this lady through this crap that everyone will remember. They had to have known their plan had very little chance to work, but probably said..."Meh, eff it, lets see if we can get something out of this naive hurt lady." I'm sure she felt like she was trying to do the right thing...it probably was all for naught. That in itself has to be traumatic and embarrassing.

The optics of this are terrible.... the Flake comments really make this look like the Republicans don't care if Ford was assaulted, that they just want a vote and Flake cannot morally just go with the flow.

Man electing Trump has really hurt this country. We are seeing our checks and balances destroyed. Just a really bad time to be an American.

 

Summary of what's going to happen:
The 7th FBI investigation is going to find nothing
Democrats are going to claim said investigation was shortened. Even if the FBI finds nothing, Kavanaugh is still a gang rapist
Michael Avenatti will dig up some dead bodies this week and claim Kavanaugh is a serial killer

 

Republicans just want a vote, and Democrats are just using Blasey Ford as a pawn to stop the GOP from getting a seat on SCOTUS. Don't be a partisan hack. Democrats aren't heroic. This is an equal opportunity **** storm.

The Republicans did not really give a **** what Kavanaugh has done, and did not care what Ford said.
The Republicans insulted the intelligence of the American people by portraying Kavanaugh as "The 40 Year Virgin"
The Republicans attempted to ram Kavanaugh's confirmation through and intimidate ant fence sitting Republicans.
The American people are insulted and angry that the Republicans think they can just force it through.
Jeff Flake bows to the pressure from the Right, but ultimately decides he has some degree of morals and asks for an investigation.
Lindsey Graham and Orrin Hatch have been exposed as the pieces of **** that they are.
The whole nation gets to see just how terrible their elected officials are on both sides of the aisle.

No the worst outcome is having a rapist on the Supreme Court for the next 30 years.

The worst outcome is he is narrowly approved and strong evidence comes out that Kavanaugh is a rapist and he has to be impeached.

Take a deep breath and quit being an emotional lesbian. He's been cleared by the FBI 6 times already and swore under oath under penalty of perjury that he didn't do it. There is zero evidence that he did do it, and there is circumstantial evidence that he's clear. Get your head out of your ass.

 

The Republicans can vote. THEY have the majority.

The problem is that a few Republicans can see that there is a real possibility that Kavanaugh is a rapist.

The democrats are certainly not heroic, too many of them are grandstanding idiots..... and Feinstein should be held accountable.

However on this issue, at this time, the Republicans are the less moral.

 

I know it still fall on deaf ear, but we knew this in 2016.

Suggestion - turn off social media, tv, radio for a week. I think I'll just do that.
