I just can't see the Wolves or a third team need and value Tucker more than we do. If they somehow just want good veteran players like Tucker, we should use an extra future 1st to find them one from a third team. One reason I can see us trading Tucker is that we plan to roll with Harden+Paul+Capela+Butler (on extension)+completely veteran minimum/rookie contracts for the coming years, and don't expect to afford even a penny more. Then we can probably avoid repeater tax while keeping Butler, and therefore decide to trade Tucker sooner rather than later to preserve a future pick.

People should be excited if we get Butler, but also need to temper down their expectation. This off-season the forum has been littered with delusional posts. I am actually a fan of Butler. I like 2 way players. But JB is not a superstar that people are making him out to be. Yes he is better than PJ and Gordon individually, and yes, he could be better for the team vs both of them combined (but no guarantee because as I said, Butler is not a top tier superstar that is a surefire), BUT NOT as the team is constructed as of now. The quality of our depth against the Warrior will be severely impacted and thats what did us in last year. We actually have the formula to beat them. Tough, aggressive,high intensity physical defense for 48 minutes. But for that you need quality depth, and we would be sacrificing it with this move. Yes, this could be addressed in the future, but it is NOT a guarantee. And until thats addressed, we are not winning against the Warriors in a seven game series. Stop being delusional. PS. People are severely underestimating how Gordon's range opens up the perimeter and the lanes for both CP and Harden drives.
