That was Chris Wallace, who before the hearing talked about having two daughters and how they told him of things that happened in school

    More reaction...

Agree with these thoughts and with Chris Wallace who said that Rachel Mitchell is not getting to her points close to fast enough. This is political theater, and the GOP isn't scoring points with punchy questions like the Dems.

If only the Democrats had taken the WSJ Editorial Board's advice and meekly assented to Kavanaugh's ascent

Does shitastically stupid concern-trolling "advice" to Democrats from teh WSJ, National Review, Bret Stephens, Steve Bannon, DESERVE ITS OWN THREAD?

    it.

    just.

    might.

She's taking too long to do it, but you have to build a foundation before tearing her case down. She still has 55 minutes in which to do that.....and again, it's still a completely uncorroborated fiction that she's telling. It won't take much time to ask questions she has no answer for and IMO that's what this will come down to.

ur confused, this is a job interview, not a court proceeding.

over this past week-end, BP was on a PR mission, appearing on an interview w the state media, Fox News.

in his interview w Martha McCulloch,
he had described his high school life as one revolving around sports, church, books and service to community, a choir boy

after the 2nd and 3rd accuser had come forth, as well as BK's college roommates detailing BK's heavy drinking w bouts of black out,
in his presentation to the senate hearing, he changed his tune,
admitting to drinking heavily on occasions, and that he had done things in hi school that makes him cringe now.
evidence of BK lying in public on display, lacks the character to be a SCOTUS

I know, due to tribalism you are supporting lynching someone without any evidence that they did anything wrong...you'll have to understand that not everyone is so unreasonable.

That graphic also represents Brett's penis after Ms. Ford left the gathering.

"So you are saying that the therapists' notes that you claim corroborate your claim, that don't corroborate your claim, are inaccurate"

    "Yes"

"I feel like I could be more helpful when it comes to ruining Kavanaugh's life if the FBI found some actual evidence of literally anything I'm saying because I sure as hell can't find any"

Not that I suspected they would but it would help her case if the Dems also were working to get to the bottom of this rather than just trying to prop up her credibility. Of course i guess given there is absolutely nothing to back her up at this time, that is all they can do.

"Do you remember showing the NYT the therapists' notes a few weeks back?"

"Nope, I can't remember anything other than the fact that it had to be Brett Kavanaugh that did it, I don't even remember where I currently live or how I got to the building today"

"Were you lying about the fear of flying?"

"Pretty much, yeah, I'm used to using false allegations to get my way....and I really wanted to get my way"

she said she was too traumatized by Kavanaugh to fly. She flies all the time.

She said it was unreasonable for her to request the committee come to her. They offered to interview her in her house.

another words, a FBI investigation is warranted to gather the evidence.

GOP's tribalism is such that they don't want to know the facts / evidence.

Had Grassley called for an FBI investigation of Prof's claim, as requested by Sen Feinstein and Gillabrand,
they'd already have already gathered the facts to either corroborate / rebuke the accusation.

Exactly Michael Berry - you can't believe a rape victim you only met once.

It's been proven time and time again, that unless you meet a rape victim several times, the rape didn't happen.

It's just basic science. Come on.

LOL, so you want an FBI investigation to miracle their way into finding some evidence to support a baseless allegation.....is that your position?

You do know that an FBI investigation would only collect statements, not invent evidence right? They'd collect statements from people who have already given statements and that's about it. There's simply nothing to investigate.

Also, again, you are fine lynching a man with no evidence whatsoever.....because tribalism. Just own it kiddo.

If you believe an alleged attempted rape victim with no corroboration or evidence to support her story that has had her story debunked by literally everyone she claimed to have been present.....you just REALLY want to believe it and are going out of your way to do so.

You could make the exact same case for Kavanaugh. It just comes down to who do you believe more. Kavanaugh tried to portray himself as a choir boy which he clearly was not. If he had come out and said you know I have made some mistakes in my youth and I am not the same person 30 years later I think he would have been much better of.
