I think the Republicans are going to lose a significant portion of their women voter base if they approve Kavanaugh now. Sure, it was easy for Trump to ram "crooked Hillary" down their throats and for them to buy into that turning on her rather than voting for their own gender. But, now you would be asking these same women to ignore one of their own in regards to sexual assault. The women that would now ignore this are the unhinged ones imo who buy into the conspiracy theories of Donald Trump. The GOP is going to have a huge image problem on their hands. They already do with the ramblings of "me...me...me" Trump. But, then you would have Republicans voting for Kavanaugh in spite of testimony that appears to be credible. Are they going to choose party over this? Then, you got Trump-tard giving his rambling "me...me...me" speech the other day trying to give his support with his bs while denying his own sexual liaisons. This is worse than a soap opera.

But, yea, go ahead and approve Kavanaugh. LOL! Good luck with that! The only right move is to move on to the next candidate. Kavanaugh is a lose-lose scenario.

You're giving women and voters generally too much credit. Remember when Trump admitted to being a habitual sexual predator on video and still captured the majority of the white female vote?

Probably so. But, we didn't have #metoo back then. We did have Trump paying off Stormy Daniels to hide his sexual liaison with her before the election. I think all we had was Trump making a groping comment on tape. I guess it boils down to how much people are willing to overlook and rationalize in their own minds to continue to vote along party lines because they identify with that party.

Well, we had the video, his ex-wife's rape claim, another sexual harassment lawsuit that was settled, the creepy Miss USA pageant thing, rumors of sexual harassment and assault including one about the rape of a minor, rumors of the doorman which later turned out to be true, a NYT article that interviewed many women about his behavior, and then his legal but creepy way of ditching old wives to marry younger models and his reputation for infidelity. Other allegations came after the election, as did Stormy and McDougall. But, I saw the pattern of sexual predation. Other people with a different political outlook managed to miss the forest for the trees, and then dismiss the individual trees with some rationalization -- locker room talk, rumor, character assassination, whatever. There's no helping some people.

It’s funny folks keep falling for the “but I’m a Christian” act.

what is more disgusting is the right using the blood of 9/11 to invade an uninvolved country to perpetuate an open ticket open war. blood on their hands ..and on all levels distorts and exploits the entire movement. "Shameless" is right.

Someone said on here that lawyers don't get to pass the BAR if they have criminal record. Justice system participant has to pass a higher moral bar than what you suggest is acceptable (due to some arbitrary cultural perceptions of yours). And I agree with that higher integrity requirement when it comes to people deciding on peoples livelihoods - this is regardless of my political biases (which btw are centrist with elections votes cast for both Dem and Repubs).

Ford seemed quite credible... it was very hard to watch her and think she was hiding something and very hard to see her motivation to lie.

His defense speech is predictable and pathetic. Just own it and move on, he is exactly the guy Bill Burr talks about with jowls who screams out "deplorable" "assault of the American people" "public servant"...

As long as he hasn't assaulted a woman in his 25 years as public servant, I don't care. Move on.

It was the culture of affluent whites in the 80s, and teens can't really think for themselves at that age. It's a waste of time, let's work on what's important instead of your fabricated moral compass. You're fine with Osuna closing for the Astros in the playoffs, right?

You want him to own what? That he may have been trying to rape her?!

I agree we should move on since the incident was 36 years ago but his scripted response has me cringing - we need someone honest in this role and I don’t get why someone honest would have to be so robotic.

His claims that he knows what time he ate breakfast 36 years ago etc are asinine.

The whole I was born from the womb of virgin mary and these women are making it up, football and beer, good ol American boy, just say it was a culture around me, I was 17, and I couldn't think clearly. It was the 80s, but in my 25 years since then, I have been a law abiding public servant with no sexual assault allegations. This is the Republican form of denial, straight from the script, and it NEEDS TO BE CALLED OUT. Saying he was a virgin until 40 absolves him of nothing .... **rolls eyes**

not sure because a lot of women i know are against the #metoo frontier justice but you're right about lose-lose. if i were him i would get nominated(have to at this point, can't let frontier justice win) and then resign shortly thereafter.

Did you ever wake up with writing all over your face after a night of drinking?

Did you ever wake up in the middle of the night after a night of drinking and pee in the corner of a room rather than in a toilet?

I don't think so. They wait until 2 months before voting to come out with it and kinda seems like Dems are planting people to stall ****. Waited till last second to make sure it was fresh in everyone's mind.

My cousin use to be raped by her step dad so I understand how sensitive this type of stuff can be, but I also know a girl my friend use to date in high school and after being caught red handed at a party for cheating on my friend she tried to claim rape with the other dude. Turned into a big deal and everyone out the party called it for the bullshit it was and the other guy had text messages showing they've slept with each other a few times before.

Basically I dont have much faith in any of these women. If democrats went this hard at their own people being accused, I would be more open to it, but this seems like nothing but a power play. Also, just based off that lawyer's twitter post about this, he seems like the most slimy mother ****er trying to become a celebrity. His post are the most about the accusers are the most immature **** I've ever seen, almost trying to brag.

I'm pretty sure the second womens story is completely different then the original story she claimed a week prior

But I also believe that the Clintons, Joe Bidden, and probably a lot of high elites and deep state are pedos and do all kinds of weird **** with children, so I could be full of **** lol

    Ted Cruz is a decent human being. Heck, see how he was heckled the other night at that restaurant? "He is more sinned against than sinning." {HT: King Lear}
