Yall tripping, same with melo. U go after shot takers. Ill risk it for one year. In this new nba u gotta be aggressive. Cp3 harden butler melo capella. Thats a squid i run at gsw n celtics. New math. If u win next year its worth it. If not u trust morey to think big again some how some way.

    New isn't always better.

Tucker proved himself last year. Losing him would be going backwards.

    lol

We are not winning a series against the Warriors with Melo starting for us. Warriors will pick Melo and our defense apart with him in the lineup.

That's why there are more than 5 players on a roster

Starting — finishing — who gives a ****. It’s about minutes distribution. And matchups. And luck. And who (clap clap) plays harder. I don’t care whose name is on the back of the jersey and what quarter it is.

I disagree. This team would be better with butler then last years. Butler is a top 20 player smh. U would have 3 top 20 players on ur team.

Barring injury, i think we already got the horses to beat GSW and win it all...
Do you really wanna risk jostling the apple cart for some dude that has had issues both places he's been - and wants to go play for the Knicks, Nets or Clippers?

Melo I think has had his 'come to Jesus'.... Jimmy B is a few years away from such a realization... and our window is now.

Not after you trade away Gordon and Tucker. Left with trash.

We had more than 5 players against the Warriors last playoffs.

Remind me how many played again lol...

    Did we really tho?

    CP3 (missed multiple games)
    Harden
    Tucker
    Ariza
    Capela
    Gordon

    Gerald?

    Luc - injured
    Anderson - unplayable
Nene - mostly unplayable vs GS

So once CP3 went out, I'd say that you're wrong and we mostly did play 5 main guys. Anderson and Green played extremely spot minutes and got torched defensively while they were out there.

    This year:

    CP3
    Harden
    (Butler)
    Tucker
    Capela

    Ennis
    Melo
    Green
    Knight?
    Chriss?
    MCW?

We could theoretically be much deeper this season than we were last year even if we acquired Butler

EG and Tucker were another teams trash before they got here. I fully trust our gm to find glue guys. That said what's the difference between melo startin at the 4 or coming off the bench

ScoopB might really be the new Potato Head

If this is true i just wonder how in the hell Minnesota didn't take our offer yet, Miami offer is absolute trash, Waiters is basically Dieng but paid a couple of millions less...Butler for Whiteside (another bad contract and in a spot where the Wolves have zero need) and a 1st is just for the lulz.

I don't even know how much it make sense to get PJ for Minnie...i mean, for us he's literally perfect, for them he would be still a very good piece but the way Thibs likes to play, the fact that they have Gibson, they probably hope Diop develops into a PJ Tucker...i don't know, for them it might be more appealing to get another 1st rounder, and i think that might be better for us too at this point.

Like Jimmy’s D but PJ’s switch D was on another level esp. in the playoffs where he shined.

The whole switching scheme will be different without Thicc. And Ego’s D also helped a lot, it shortens the rotation to a degree that MDA would be running guys into the ground again.

Minny wasn't dealing honestly until the last couple of days and that gave every team time to talk. Everyone knows what is out there and is pretty confident in degrading the market for Butler. This always happens in drawn out trades. I thought they were offering X, hell if they are not giving him up then I am not giving up Y. They have to trade him and we can wait them out. Minny could have had the Clippers and Heat trying to outdo each other in a real deal quickly if they had been serious.

It doesn't, they need a comparable player for Butler offensively, some future prospects, and a ton of cap relief. I think they would consider that win in flexibility above a lot of things. If we were to solve their Butler, Teague, and Dieng issues I think you we could get away with EGo, Nene, Knight and picks in separate trades. We could nab Butler, Teague, and Jones and solve all of our issues at once and wait for the deadline to use our MLE and vet mins on buyouts. People made the Tucker reference because of cyberx first but mainly Thibs and like you I think they missed the mark.

Its bait by other teams. Coach, players and the org keep praising tuck as the best thing since sliced bread. No way in hell he gets traded
