I just want to note how TOTALLY NORMAL it is to have to flood the zone with rape stories about your Supreme Court nominee to distract from the most damaging rape stories, so that you can have him be just unrapey enough to be sworn in on Monday.

Interesting strategy. The more accusations, the more believable yet more potential weak links to attack. So if you want to distract, attack all the weak points. Not a bad strategy (politic-wise which is what this has become). Seriously, anyone that is interested in a fair approach would know what to do here.

The media has really embarrassed themselves this week. No journalistic integrity what so ever. They all ran reports based off an anonymous letter. nuts. Im being told by the lefties on this board that its all a republican ploy to push false accusations. Mainstream media in their pocket including Maddow.

 

Looks like she's going with the suppressed/repressed memory line to a degree and says she was afraid to discuss it extensively out of fear of reliving the trauma. I guess it's a little odd to me considering she has a masters in clinical psychology. I guess we all deal with trauma differently and I know there a lot of people with extensive backgrounds in psychology that are a bit whacked out themselves, but it's just odd. The whole point behind clinical psychology is to understand, confront, and address trauma through various techniques like psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and such.

Obviously that by itself doesn't mean she is lying, but I guess I don't really understand why she would go through all of this spectacular training on the human mind and ignore it all for decades. A mystery I will never know...

 

Maybe the the same reason why lawyers don't defend themselves and doctors don't treat themselves.

 

If you think it’s as crazy as it sounds you should call Cornyn or Cruz’s Office ASAP and demand an FBI investigation to get to the truth and bring these left wing conspirators and George Soros to justice.

Nothing much odd about it. You can intellectually understand something very well and can’t put into practice well. Happen in academe all the time. Happen in daily life also. You may intellectually know exactly that those nice rack are nothing but fat and skin, but still are emotionally attached to it.
