Current forecast says the guy that potentially raises taxes You can say that about the entire social welfare system. So why not junk the entire system and face the social consequences - wonder which would cost more? What the system needs is proper control mechanism put in place so that the system is not abused like it currently is. The problem is that by increasing deficit and thus debt, more resources is spent servicing said debt. We have already spent about $500 billion servicing debt this fiscal year and are running at about $40bn per month. The risk of government shutdown will only keep the charade going The system can be made more responsible if those idiots are voted out of office. Neither side has been fiscally responsible and each has spent extravagantly for the benefit of their financiers and supposed base. When the government falls short, those taxes will be raised higher than they were before the cut. Cutting taxes is like pumping water into a leaking tank. Even a masochist wouldnt do that
It's very simple, you and I can reach out to a Senator who visited every county in Texas to thank him for our new social freedoms while warning him to be fiscally responsible and not raise income taxes for us. And guess what, he'll actually listen because that's what he's shown he will do by hearing everyone in the state of Texas. The other guy pffftttt.... He only answers to his corporate financiers and good luck every getting a sincere reply out of his office. Trust me I've tried, all I get is automated you're wrong, we're right, thanks for trying responses. Cornyn to his credit has responded to my letters sincerely despite some differences. So get your social freedoms and keep Beto honest on financial matters. He's proven he'll respect your position. Or continue to have your social and technological freedoms taken away from you while getting no additional financial breaks than you are getting now. btw... US taxes are way below average when compared to the developed world so I don't see an issue there. But we have terrible rights on social issues which is laughable for a country built on freedom. https://www.taxpolicycenter.org/briefing-book/how-do-us-taxes-compare-internationally
"Oh, hell, sorry...we can't be friends..." No matter what happens, I respect Beto and how he has run thing. I would not piss on Ted Cruz if he was on fire, and that goes back about 25 years. He was the first guy to pass out on the beach on "senior weekend". They did some shaving, eyebrows and such... Always a creep, way back to HS.
Washington Post gives Beto four pinocchios https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...t-try-leave-scene-dwi/?utm_term=.4b7355496e62
you were unaware of trump giving $12 billion in subsidies to farmers to offset his tariffs? that says a lot about how little you pay attention to the news. sad. and you continue to miss the part where the trump tax cuts are heavily weighted towards the wealthiest americans. again, that says a lot about how little you pay attention to the news. you said "I don't think it's accurate that the Trump tax cut will benefit the "wealthy." - that is ridiculous and easily disproven. i can cite all kinds of sources to back up my point that the trump tax cuts are heavily weighted towards the wealthy. even boreby the great acknowledges this fact (but says its a good thing). you on the other hand, seem to be aware of things that have been widely reported in the news for months.
You honestly want to bring up fact checks for "lying" ted cruz? https://www.politifact.com/personalities/ted-cruz/
[Premium Post] Drinking and driving is a heinous act that imperils the entire community and threatens the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and by-standers alike. For Richard O'Rourke to commit this offense, and then flee -- quite frankly it's disqualifying. But to lie about it all, now that offends any honest person's sensibilities. This man cannot, under any circumstances, be trusted to serve in the United States Senate. Go back to drinking your frozen margaritas with salt in your upscale neighborhood in El Paso, fake Beto! GOOD DAY
No, I didn't say that it was a good thing, I said that it was impossible to have a serious tax cut without it being "heavily weighed towards the wealthy" given that they are just about the only people that pay any taxes to begin with. it's literally impossible to cut income taxes for poor people because they don't pay any to begin with and most of the time receive back far more than they pay in taxes. The only thing you could do is hand out more of other people's money to them, which isn't a tax cut.
Not just because of this, but certainly in part because of this, I'm not sure Cruz can live with himself.
Did you watch it? He acts emotionally about his sister. Then lies about the circumstances to make a point. That is so scummy I don't know what to even say.
If this scumbag would do that (make her out to be a drug addict when she was clearly not) to his own dead sister what would he do to all the folks who vote for him?
That's just you saying you're uninformed. You're just parroting trumplican talking points with no real substance behind them.
1) given how lefty Beto's agenda is on spending/healthcare/big govt, I doubt that I or anyone else can convince him otherwise. I think it's a bit naïve to think that any one voter or groups of voters could convince him otherwise. 2) I live in the US, not other countries, so what they do about taxes is irrelevant to me. 3) I would agree that our government's record on big brothering social issues is highly lamentable. If you hadn't guessed by now, I have a libertarian perspective. But people on both sides of the aisle love the police state, and Big Govt, and consistently vote for "security" over freedom. And, you can lose your freedom through taxation, and you can lose your freedom by Big Government spying on you. You can lose your freedom by having Obamacare imposed on you. 4) Finally, to get back on topic, Beta supports single payer. There's no way he's going to change his mind about that, and there's no way I'm going to vote for a candidate who supports and advocates that. 5) I'm not in love with Cruz. But I don't have to be in love with him to oppose Beta. The best way to oppose Beta is to vote Cruz.
