What’s an appealing trade offer for timberwolves for Eric Gordon without giving up Tucker?. Third teams welcome. Gordon + young player? Qi? + 1st + 2nd + Rights to lull + money considerations. Could a third team get in the mix and help?. It feels like Tucker is here to stay but I’m all for a gordon + Tucker package personally
From a long term standpoint that’s a great deal for the wolves even though EG is a better player and on a good deal himself but he’s older and plays the same role as Wiggins in a sense. Covington is a very good 3&D guy who’s locked up and young. Why Houston didn’t keep him around is a mystery I thought he showed a lot more than most projects we keep around. He would be great in our system.
If Covington and a 1st is all that Minnesota can get for Jimmy Butler, they are in a bad, bad way in the land of 10,000 lakes. Covington will be starting his 7th year. I like him because he's a solid, 12 point 4 board guy (at least that's his numbers for the last four years). He's making, what, 3-5 shots a game, and he's not facilitating at all. Covington is reliable pro, a 3-D guy, but he's far below Butler. And though Philly owns Sacramento's '19 pick (it's protected if it falls to #1) what kind of talent will you get there? Butler should make the Eastern all-star team. He's a solid, at times dominant, 2-way player. Minnesota has to ask for more than Covington and a pick. But Philly would have no reason to give up any more than that. And they'd be crazy to trade either Fultz or Saric. If they're entertaining offers, the Rockets should put one together for Saric. That guy is a winner.
Based on what? Did you see him in the playoffs? He was almost unplayable with some matchups. All his shots went down from regular season and there where stretches where he was wide open and couldn't hit anything.
I didnt see him in the playoffs but im willing to bet that he has worked hard to get better. I say this because of how he worked after leaving here. He was always a decent defender and you already know that he is a better player than what you saw on the playoffs.
