Kennedy to retire - USSC will swing even further right

They are doing it because they don’t have a single woman to ask questions, not one out of the 11 members. So they want outside counsel to ask the questions so that they won’t inevitably say something extremely offensive.

I don’t know how often they have had outside counsel do this, so I cannot say if it is somewhat standard.

 

Make it three accusers. Sadly Kavanaugh probably only loses a handful of Republican votes. If Kavanaugh does not have enough votes for confirmation, I suspect that Trump will pull his nomination.

Trump will eventually get a conservative judge confirmed. It may not happen this year though. It will be very interesting if the Democrats win back the Senate.

 

The accuser also learned of the allegation last week.

 

.... and this is why you be really careful about who you nominate to be a Supreme Court Justice; because the skeletons in your closet will see the light of day.

We will see how this all ultimately plays out, but it was not a smart choice at the time or now. In the end it could result with a more conservative Justice replacing BK or it could result in a bloodied Republican Party getting his nomination through.

 

I get that and that all make political sense. But it looks like they aren’t doing their job and are coward. But if this has been done before, then I’m wrong.

The accuser says she didn't know it was kavanaugh for 35 years. Six days ago she 'carefully assessed her memories' and came to the conculsion it was kavanaugh. She didnt know until a week ago. Again every witness says they have no idea what she's talking about

I found the comments about Judge interesting and of course the other classmate that said she and her friends heard about Kavanaugh shoving his penis in Ramirez’ face a few days after it happened.

I find it really hard to believe BK is the best Trump could find... a black out drunk, parties where women were abused, a close friend that raped an inebriated woman in college... evasive at answering questions because he doesn’t remember, but has calendars for nearly 40 years ago.

There are many conservative judges out there without that baggage. Now we know why the Republicans wanted to shove the BK vote through.
