So much wrong with this team from the top down. There's talent, but there is so much this team does wrong. I don't care what the team says after the game, this season is done, there is no hope of tying some wins together. They are who they are and that's a badly coached team with talent in some positions and pitiful in others.
I don't like O'Brien but when your offensive line crushes almost every drive you have with false starts and holds that isn't just coaching. That is a lack of talent as well.
I know Watson holds the ball too long but man this offensive line is hot garbage. The penalties and pressure there giving up every week is very discouraging. I’m and avid gambler so I watch almost all the games, and while the Texans are my team so I am biased the offensive line is the worst I’ve seen all year by any team when factoring in the protection, false starts and holding calls. It’s getting unwatchable.
Some people even thought this team was a dark horse SB contender. Now the season is over with way before Halloween. Yikes.
If competent plays were being called, the O line wouldn't be a problem. When you go with quick passes, it makes the defense have to hesitate before trying to just bull rush in. For whatever reason, the Texans rarely do that opting for long developing plays which just makes the problem worse.
Doesn't help when your HC can't figure out that the middle of the field has been the weak spot and exploit it. Not to mention Miller isn't a power back, but Blue actually has looked good between the tackles all year. Queue the bubble screen.
