still better than ted turning into a sad tiger when stumping for trump....someone who insulted his wife, said his father was involved in the jfk assassination and repeated called "lyin ted". this is the picture of a man who knows he has no dignity, pride or self-respect...a total weasel. a sell-out. a chump.

Take Trump and Beto out of the equation.

Who in the hell has been voting for Cruz all these years? We've all seen insufferable, scummy politicians, but this is next level. There's nothing to like about the guy.

I hate Trump with a passion, but I at least have a good idea of what he was selling, reprehensible though it may be.

He is the best advocate for retaining second amendment rights in the Senate. You might not like that position, but that is something I really like about him.

So for me the choice is O'Rourke who speaks about the evils of rifle cartridges used to hunt and target shoot, or a strong advocate with a clear understanding.

Find me the republican that has a different stance.

Ted Cruz is seriously the best republican choice in this state? He's utterly hateable.

I have heard plenty of republican's with a shitty gun rights stance. McCain in 2008 lost my vote when he declared his 1911 was all he needed in a jet and that's all I need. Trump is not only clueless, but also has made horrible anti-gun statements.

It isn't about voting record or even party. henry cuellar is a Dem with an A rating from the NRA who has their endorsement for district 28. Cruz actually is a great at making the pro civil rights argument.

So you’re a single issue voter on gun rights? Power to you, just seems odd.

Not until a candidate makes crazy talk about rifles like O'Rourke or Mccain. having an ignorant and simultaneously anti-liberty public position is revealing.

Ted Cruz is a LION in the Senate. He is the most pure conservative in politics today. He's a genius, on par with my intellect. He is a true master of debate and has a master grip on the legal system, having argued many cases in front of SCOTUS. Trump himself, during the campaign, heaped praise on Cruz, calling him LION Ted Cruz. High praise indeed.

Preserving the 2nd Amendment is my most important political issue. The 2nd amendment provides the ultimate check on government power. If you hate Trump, then you should love the 2nd Amendment. All laws are ultimately enforced by the threat of government force. An armed populace is a well governed populace, because if citizens are not allowed to keep and bear arms, then only the government/police have arms. In that instance, resistance is impossible. A few incidents in our country's history were critically important to testing this thesis, although at the time, very few people connected the dots. Ruby Ridge, Waco, Bundy Ranch are all examples. Unjust laws, unjust takings, unjust enforcement -- at the end of the day, these examples of government overreach can only be stopped by armed resistance.

Thomas Jefferson said it best -- "What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance. Let them take arms."

    GOOD DAY

I support the 2nd amendment. I’ve contemplated getting a rifle with scatter shot for snakes many times because I like in the sticks on a private pond.

The issue is that you and I likely disagree on what we as citizens should be allowed to own. But that doesn’t mean I don’t support the second amendment.

We disagree fundamentally on why the 2nd Amendment is so important. You seem to think it's to enable you to protect your home from snakes. I believe it's to protect the citizenry from the government and to preserve our freedom and liberty.

Man, cmon are you guys really willing to throw the country down the tube out of fear that they will take guns away. There are so many other things wrong here and you have to see how badly everything is being run right now. Because people want there to be restrictions on guns? Is there really anything wrong with restrictions? There are so many more important issues. Like our economy, healthcare, global warming, THE INTERNET. We are gonna be royally screwed if things dont change now.

You should run on a platform of legalizing tanks and nukes for personal use then.

I will stay focused on snakes
