I'm just going to guess that Ford was probably pretty drunk (clearly no one in that scene has just one beer/drink) that night like everyone else and who knows wtf happened. She was probably partying as much in high school as the bros that Kavanaugh hung out with. The whole scene sounds exactly like the rich, white private schools that some friends I grew up with went to.
