Katz is an attorney that represents her clients. As an attorney, I can tell you that anyone that goes to an attorney representing a client, as someone that is non biased, then they are a fool. That goes for anyone on the political spectrum. We often have to represent people that we do not like or agree with and often times we argue the exact opposite depending on who our client is at a particular point in time.

As for Clinton, he has not been elected to public office in over 20 years. His behavior, from everything I know is disgusting and not acceptable and it has rightfully tarnished his legacy. I find the trips he and Trump took with Epstein sans the secret service to be especially disturbing. As those planes were allegedly stocked with young women and no one knows what happened.

At this point the Republicans are running into the reputation of not being supporters or women. We will have to see what the fallout is politically.

Also, I agree with you......... the truth is only Kavanaugh and the accuser know what happened.

I think the accuser should be heard under reasonable conditions and then let the senators decide.

This has morphed into the debate of women's right and whether the public believes the accuser or the future Justice..

Kavanaugh is going to be confirmed, but if the public concludes that she is believable, then there can cause political issues down the road for the GOP as they are currently in a bad spot when it comes to the optics of the parties position on women's rights.

 

The problem is that Christine Ford doesn't appear to be a survivor, she appears to be someone with a false story. There are plenty of people who are going out of their way to believe the baseless story, but I don't believe that's really a smart thing to do. Just because someone is a woman doesn't mean you have to automatically believe them, they should face the same scrutiny anyone else would face when making a baseless allegation.

That said, Trump's tweet was ignorant as hell....pretty much par for the course for him though.

 

As they should. A single baseless allegation should never be enough to stop a SCOTUS nominee.

 

I was not being serious, which I was alluding to with the rest of my statement. Which matches up pretty much with what Ford has said so far. Which is why her accusation can't be taken as credible or serious at this time.

So, if you were Kavanaugh and you were falsely accused as he was, you'd want to help the Democrats run out the clock on you and potentially end up blocking your confirmation altogether.....over a baseless allegation? LOL okay....

 

and right after he gets done ordering the FBI to investigate him over a non-credible allegation, he's going to ask the IRS to audit him because, why the hell not.

 

You can tell this statement was intended to support her sister in law's story, but given that she can't remember any of the details like when it happened, where it happened, and the 6 other people who were there.....AND she's told conflicting versions of the story in the past, this statement kind of hurts her case doesn't it?

Got it, so it wasn't there job back then, so why is it their job now? They took the redacted letter and added it to Kavanaugh's background check file.

 

Spoiler: As an aside ...

If Kavanauh was poor and black and sexually assaulted a 15 year old white girl of privilege, his ass would still be in prison. And those Republican women, likely Socially Conservative Christian women, would be cheerleading how well the legal system works.

 

The Democrats, Ford and her lawyer are intentionally making sure that there will be no testimony. Ford will not testify under any circumstances.

Their latest list of demands was never intended to be taken seriously and they will not be.

 

I am trying to be civil here ... why would the FBI look into a non-federal crime 36 years ago? Not now, 36 years ago.

Trump must know that Kavanaugh committed federally applicable crimes 36 years ago that the FBI would be interested in.
