"Everyone she claims was there has come out and publicly stated there was no such party."

This is the interesting part to me. If I am doing such an 'unconscionable, politically motivated smear campaign', I would not provide names who later deny the whole thing so quickly.... BK got 65 signatures in no time. Why cannot I find someone supporting me in several weeks for doing a smear job? I would never provide random names to prove me wrong.... or what's the point?

I think FBI should step in right here and start looking into the phone calls made by the person who denies being at the party. It looks like a crack.

How about you stop pretending that this is a criminal prosecution?

@robbie380 , it's generally not advisable to have it out when at a bar, any bar, but maybe especially that bar. Just trying to help.

But seriously, sorry to hear the story. Similar stories of harassment of b-bob in SF but never touching so far, thank god.

Is it clear that she hasn't? Is it clear that the Senate committee has reached out to her to have her testify? Seems these questions merit investigation. Hopefully the Senate and FBI will take the opportunity to do that...

Just FYI, there were no cell phones in 1982, or whatever year this supposedly happened.

It is commonly said that 90% of life is just showing up.

It looks like on Monday Kavanaugh will and Ford will not. If she does not show, this appears to be all over but the swearing in ceremony.

Collins says 'it's not fair' for Kavanaugh accuser not to testify

A key Republican senator pushed back Wednesday on calls by Brett Kavanaugh's accuser to allow for an FBI investigation before a hearing next week, the latest indication that Republicans may be closing in on the votes to confirm President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee if Christine Blasey Ford declines to testify.

"I think it's not fair for Judge Kavanaugh for her not to come forward and testify," Republican Sen. Susan Collins of Maine, a crucial swing vote, told local radio station WVOM.

The comments by Collins, who as one of the more moderate Republican senators is seen as a key vote on the nomination, are the latest sign that if Ford declines to testify, it could help Kavanaugh's chances at winning confirmation to the Supreme Court. Already, key Republicans like Sens. Bob Corker and Jeff Flake -- who had been on-the-fence after the new allegations of sexual misconduct from Kavanaugh's high school days in the 1980s -- are saying they're prepared to move ahead with the nomination if she won't testify before the committee.

Since it appears the republicans will steamroll this hurried appointment to the Supreme Court, one thing just doesn't make any sense... if she is "faking it"... why would she request the FBI to run a thorough investigation of Kavanaugh sexually assaulting her?

It also doesn't make sense that people are so willing to doubt her but trust Kavanagh who has been proven to already have lied under oath.

It isn't enough to convict him of a crime, but it is certainly enough to warrant an investigation. The investigation by experts like the FBI makes sense because it provides a framework for any questions that might be asked in hearing. It makes sense that she would want that kind of professional background available before she subjects herself to questioning by this group of Senators.

What doesn't make sense is why the senators wouldn't agree? If she's lying, the investigation would only help show that. It would help those that want to show that she's lying and that Kavanagh is a-ok.

If she's not lying the investigation might help show that too, and that's something worth knowing.

There is not a shred of evidence that Christine Ford's fantasy event ever happened. NOT A SHRED. Just like the Russian collusion charge. It is shocking how the Democrats have no shame in lying to advance their political objectives. This is a hail Mary from a leftist activist at the 11th hour because nothing else worked to slow the Kavanaugh confirmation. They tried the normal route -- acting like whiny brats and shunning all decorum during the confirmation hearings. That didn't work, so it's on to the low road -- plumbing the depths of the gutter and fabricating sex assault charges. The pity in all of this is that no one will believe women anymore when there actually is a credible charge. Yet another example of liberals doing stupid things that end up hurting their base.

    GOOD DAY
