Nets: Crabbe, Carroll, Faried, Dudley, Arthur, Webb III, DeAngelo Russell, Ed Davis, Hollis-Jefferson, LaVert, Dinwiddie, etc.
Clippers: Gallinari, Harris, Gortat, Bradley, Lou Williams, Marjanovic, Teodosic, Crossed-Over Johnson, Harrell, Beverley, Mike Scott, Gilgeous-Alexander, etc..
NYK: Kanter, Noah, Hardaway Jr., Lee, Lance Thomas, Hicks, Hezonja, KP, Baker, Mudiay, O'Quinn, Ntilikina, Knox, Vonley, etc...

Rockets: Eric Gordon, PJ Tucker, etc...

With the news that NYK will not trade for players they can get in the summer, I'd only look at the Nets/Clippers rosters.

No prime players in LA. Gallinari is their oft-injured stud. Bradley and Harris are good, but as good as Gordon or Tucker? Bradley can't be traded until Dec though. Neither can Harrell. Harris and Beverley looks like the best combo to offer.

The Nets have plenty of young players. Sean Marks has done a great job in the draft, but but MO is young players. Butler could fast forward their "process", but all of the big contracts are there to open up salary in 19/20. Maybe the Nets play ball now seeing that the market next summer is a Seller's Market and they buy early. But who would Marks give up? Hollis-Jefferson + Crabbe?

I think the Nets may have as good of a chance as the Rockets to appeal to Thibideou.

It is the D. Wade farewell tour, Butler would make things interesting

I don't think Knox or Ntilikina are going to be made available in trade. Knicks seem to remember what happened when they traded assets to uselessly bring Melo in a season earlier.

I don't think the Nets will give up a pick. They would probably give up Russell and Carroll, which is a decent deal I guess.

The Clippers on the other hand. These guys are desperate. They have vets to offer. They might offer a pick, though they owe someone their 2019 if it's not in the lottery.

Considering the floor and ceiling of what the Wolves might get + considering Thibs is in the unfathomable position of being in charge of the future of his team as well as his immediate coaching success... I think he might just have to pick among veterans and extremely mediocre young guys.

IMO as long as the Lakers (one of the youngsters) and Raptors (OG or Siakam) and the Thunder (Roberson + Schroeder) don't jump in, we have a small chance. Our pick is 28-30. If we're saving it for something, surely this is it.

In fairness, I'd like to point out that I moved on from LeBron well before many others here did. :)

I'd throw Milwaukee into the mix too. Butler played at Marquette, they have young assets (Middleton, Henson, Bledsoe, Snell, etc.), they have Giannis, they have a good coach, etc. If they manage to get Butler without sacrificing Middleton, that trio should put them into Top 4 in the East.

Find me any moment (or podcast) when I said it was better than 50-50 that LeBron would go to Houston.

As with any star pursuit in which Houston is one of countless teams pursuing a star player, the odds are always going to be in favor of the pursuit not working out. That doesn't make it "dumb" to suggest it as a possibility.

Because he expects his teammates to practice hard and play hard?

Everything aside. In my opinion rockets have the best offer on the table

Eric Gordon [Slightly below an all star has shown he’s injury free and his game has excelled couldn’t ask for a better SG in the league] also has a good contract for his play

PJ Tucker the guy is stout, he did well in our system and he’s a beast. Has an amazing contract.

    Plus a 1st round pick.

I just don’t see who can offer those quality players

He has a gigantic ego and is overrated as a player. I would not trade Tucker

    No.

You give me Harden/Paul/Butler and Capela and I can win the championship. I still have Anthony, Ennis and Criss’ non guaranteed contract to move for another rotation piece. That is assuming Knight doesn’t contribute. That doesn’t even count Green or other deals I can make.... not to mention MCW/Hilario.

Butler helps the Rockets more than Tucker and Gordon.

Lol judging by your screen name you might not have followed a team with a superstar player in quite some time but here's something of a surprise: most all star players have big egos
