We can circle back to the rumors from earlier in the summer that Kyrie and Butler want to team up.

These destinations make sense with that in mind.

Surprise, surprise, Rockets are not on the list. Lol.

I'm okay with it. Its not like he has a no trade clause, so we all know that Morey will still try to get him no matter what.

I doubt he will get him, but we are always in the mix trying. This is Thibs running the show, so technically Rockets can make a strong offer for the type of players he will more than likely be after. We will know he doesn't care about young talent and picks.

Exactly what I was thinking, and that's not the only parallel. Disappointing choice for Jimmy Butler.

But to some extent, it practically confirms he wants to play with Kyrie, which means Irving will be bolting from the Celtics this season and not for a good return.

Sure in "theory" the Knicks could offer a Lee+Ntilikina+Knox package for Butler. But they said they aren't trading assets for upcoming FAs.

Still think it doesn’t matter. We can still snag him without a doubt

He doesn’t have a no trade clause. Tucker and Gordon plus a 1st to me is phenomenal value because there both great players and there contracts are beyond cheap for their play

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if Otto Porter agrees to a buyout by February '19, if he really wants a chance at a championship ring. The Wizards aren't going forward. Houston could offer him the MLE. Porter is not as good as Jimmy Butler by any means, but he can be a rich man's Ariza. Oubre remains an option too.

My guess is that he isn't traded to any of those teams.

Kawhi only wanted to play in LA --------- Toronto traded for him.

Why would Otto Porter take a buyout??

That makes zero sense. He's not leaving a ton of money on the table so he can sign somewhere else for the MLE, even if its the GSW and a rign is all but guaranteed.

the max Minny could have offered on an extension is 4/110

Could they really be so stupid as to believe that Butler would ever take that when he can get 4/140 from another team or 5/188 from the Wolves as a free agent? It’s the same reason Kyrie isn’t signing any extension with Boston.

None of those teams can we offer anything valuable unless Minnesota wants Hardaway Jr. and the knicks are willing to give up another young asset. Clippers have Harris but he’s expiring and is looking to enter free agency.

I'm one of the biggest Porter guys here and, I agree, there's no way the Wizards are going to buy out Porter. Zero incentive for Washington to do so.

Lol, Boy do I love @The Cat and his ability to find a crease and optimism in any news regarding the rockets.

This list doesnt put us in a better situation by any means. But by no means does this news make me think morey will stop trying.
