Ford doesn't owe Trump, Grassley, or Kavanaugh anything. She had no ethical obligation to share what she shared with anyone except whoever she wanted to and whatever terms she wanted to.

I don't even see the relevance to this. Pretty sure all the Me-Too Hollywood people denied their allegations too, and until one person said something, no one had ever made allegations against them either. So what?

LOL. So it's OK (and, in fact, a "wise and humane decision") to just not bother putting a nominee up for consideration at all, but completely damages the institution to delay a nominee for a couple of weeks to investigate something because one party fears they might lose the Senate in a few months. Stupid article, not surprisingly posted by stupid poster.

It's bad enough for Turtle-faced McConnell to defend the pick of B K,
it is impossible to defend the stupidity of Fredo Trump !

The presumed innocence of Kavanaugh is vomit inducing.

Was trhe woman sexually assaulted by Kavanaugh as she claimed? That is the question that needs an answer.

What is needed are efforts to establish the truth and facts as much as possible, without the political shenanigans, But typical hypocritical GOP, who are always quick to bring up God and morality, seem only intent in smuggling their nominee thru - the truth be damned.

It’s just an interesting thing to have pop up. It’s also interesting to have this book from Kavanaugh’s friend about being a raging drunk pop up too with the worst attempt at a fake name ever in it lol.

I wonder what kind of **** I would have come out about me that I’ve forgotten about lol.

#1 Kavanaugh should be assumed innocent until proven otherwise. The matter should be investigated, the accuser heard and the public and Senate can make their decision. The political fallout will be whatever it is.

#2 It is despicable, if not distasteful of some to blame the accuser and how she should, or should not have handled the situation. It isn't easy to go through what she is about to go through. We learned that from Anita Hill.

#3 Skeletor needs to retire. Her last second dropping of the allegation was politics at it's worst.

#3 Grassley is pretty dubious as well. Supposedly the list of women vouching for the SC pick isn't as iron clad as Grassley has led us to believe. Further, they must have known that there were problems ahead of time because they had the list ready ASAP.

#4 Kavanaugh is a political douche bag. He really doesn't have the moral fiber for the position as he is an overtly political figure that has been groomed for this by his party for sometime. People like that, especially ones that are overly evasive should not be on the highest Court.

#5 Democrats better be careful what they ask for, Kavanaugh is a neo-con but he isn't insane like the last Trump appointee.

#6 Read about the accuser and the nominee discussing their background of isolated, cultish and preferential treatment. Both of these people very much ARE the establishment. There is no swamp draining..... these were people that were bred like show horses to assume the top of the power structure in the USA. The ultimate insiders.

There is no bottom as the left sinks to new lows, just beyond pathetic.

I can't help but literally laugh out loud at the notion that she should've taken her story of sexual assault to the sexual assault master himself instead. That's like writing a letter to Hitler in 1942 about your missing Jewish neighbors.

Christine Blasey Ford spoke to the WaPost, to her congress person and to Feinstein. Feinstein referring the issue to the FBI appears to be after the story was leaked to the press, which was showing up on Ford's door. The press knew that Ford wanted to remain anonymous yet they still harassed her. Methinks you might have picked the wrong "person" to blame.

    No, I don't think so.

Skeletor II should have walked away a long time ago, she is overly partisan and part of the problem in Washington.

She didn't do anything with the allegations, and then suddenly drops them at the last minute. It was politics 101, and I would not be surprised if she is the one who leaked it to the press to begin with. Where there is smoke, there is fire and the timing is too politically perfect........ that is an ancillary concern anyway, as the bigger issue is whether "Frat Boy Brett" tried to gang rape this lady.

In the end I think this is a political mistake by Democrats.

They might put up some charade of a hearing or something, but it will come down to a he said she said. Which means either the Republicans will go ahead and vote to push through Kavanaugh's nomination, OR if they stop it you will rile up the republican base and put a big damper on the blue wave in the midterms. The democrats have a major uphill battle to win the Senate. If the republicans hold it or possibly expand their majority to void out Susan Collin's vote they could go with someone even harder right that really will flip Roe v Wade, etc.

I've heard from a bunch of people that they hated Trump but voted for him because of the Supreme Court picks. He already showed with his Gorsuch and Kavanaugh nominations that he was serious about appointing conservative justices.

The Republicans nominated and got elected a serial sexual assaulter for President.

The Republicans now have nominated a sexual assaulter for USSC.

    And who is pathetic?

The Democrats will be lucky to keep their Senate seats this November. Their best chance for a Red-to-Blue pickup is Nevada. It will be a miracle if they pull that off and that would put them at 50. Close no cigar.

If a Blue Tsunami happens, the Dems can also pickup up Tennessee and Texas. There is about a 1% chance of that happening and would require Trump to have sex with a p*rn star on the WH lawn who gets pregnant and has an abortion that he pays for.

Mr. Epstein wrote a hefty pile of words there, tallanvor. Do you agree with them, or do you simply like posting other people's opinions? I found Epstein's "take" a breathtakingly absurd pile, and not just of words. I saw a lot of piles like his on my grandfather's ranch in East Texas while growing up. They smelled and you didn't want to step in them, if it could be avoided. Well, Mr. Epstein stepped in it all right, up to his ankles, and his opinion is rather smelly, like your opinions so often are when it comes to politics. With all due respect. Instead of posting his nonsense, you should have watched where you were stepping, in my humble opinion.

Remind us again which candidate refused to say that they would concede if they lost the election.
