Death Chair? Maybe we should wait until all the facts are in.

It's like you think every instance has no context with all of the previous instances.

    @CometsWin

This incident isn't in the context of on duty police shootings

It’s more like you do and that’s the problem. Every incident should be viewed on its own merit. When you don’t you ger idiots screaming hands up don’t shoot which was an obvious distortion of the truth thereby purposely falesly accusing others of crimes they didn’t commit. That does nothing but make things worse. Your cause stands on faulty ground and you alienate others but the latter is really the intent here.

She’s more likely to get a promotion and the key to the city than a real punishment.
It’s gonna be similar to the Oscar Grant verdict. 2-3 years and an extended probation. What a joke.

You can’t prove the shooting was a racist act. Could it have been, did she act faster because her snap judgment was affected by the race of her perceived assailant? Absolutely possible.

The racism seems more pronounced in the department’s handling of the affair. If, for some reason a search warrant was standard crime scene procedure, the releasing of those findings was hurtful to the victim and completely unnecessary.

We have no idea what she is guilty of or pleads to. Let things play out.
These kinds of posts are fuel for DaWokeota to look like he’s down with the cause

The fact that your bait reeled in DD should be cause for concern.

We are going to find out that there is more to this story.

I don’t buy for a minute that she went into the wrong apartment.

They had a relationship of some sort .

Interesting take....given the tactics by the police in this case, nothing would surprise at this point.

Be careful about facts. From what I understand, both her apartment and his apartment have been searched. The results of the search of Jean's apartment were leaked while the results of the Guyger search were not leaked. It's pretty crappy how they leaked information, and I can only assume they did it to make the victim look bad with the mar1juana. But, it's not that they are completely negligent in running an investigation.

The Noise complaint . . makes him the Noisy Guy Upstairs
    IF she made a complaint
Then she more than likely has confronted him before.

    Exactly.

Either they had a personal relationship that soured or there is a history of conflict between the two of them.

Based on what we know, it is not believable that she believed it was her apartment and shot him. I don't think a jury will believe that either.

We are going to find out that she had some irrational reason for killing him impulsively other than a mistake.

She had a few days to clean out her apartment. Jean didn't have that same luxury because he was dead.

DRUG test every single Police officer - every month...they are paid by our tax dollars...that would be more appropriate is that she was tested. Rather than the man she murdered.

Let's see how it is handled, because history has shown they will protect the officer more than the victim.

Ted Poe wants to have the Texas Supreme Court add that as a defense in the Texas jury instructions.

There would be a verdict line that says:

"We know that the defendant is guilty of killing ____ but, we find that ___ should never have been black and as a result the defendant gets ____ probation."

    This.

They have to be careful, because the last thing they want on a high profile case is the FEDS getting involved and finding corruption or incompetence. They could all lose their jobs and possibly suffer criminal consequences. So on the high profile cases they make sure they do obvious things like search and question.

There is no doubt that the release of the information about mar1juana was done to smear the victim. The problem is that anyone could have leaked that information.

Maybe I need to take it back. I had read Friday that there was a warrant to search her apartment, but this very sketchy website says the warrant only covered the lock on her door. And now she has moved out. From a criminal investigation point of view, I don't know if that's a big deal or not. From a PR point of view, I'd say that's a big **** up if it's true.
