Librals think the "okay" hand gesture is white symbol

lol, I agree with you..for the most part. But the thing is that it goes equally both ways. I've seen just as much supposed "outrage" on the conservative side as well. Whether it's Starbucks Christmas Cups or whatever, both sides do this all the time. To pretend it's one-sided is just..well..dishonest.

If you watch the video it’s pretty obvious he knew what he was doing.

 

For sure, he was trolling, and he got a TON of bites.

 

Well he didn't really get fired, he just got sent home from disaster response duty, he's still in the Coast Guard and likely facing an article 15 where he might potentially lose some rank and get some extra duty and reduction in pay or whatever but you don't get "fired" from the Coast Guard for trolling news cameras.

 

I just don't know; this was a game we played back in the 90's; if you looked, you got punched. Now it's this? Come on now!?!?!?

Eventually it's not a joke anymore.

 

The joke is those who think it's a "white power" hand sign. Those people are always the joke no matter who they are.The hand sign simply doesn't mean that, it's never meant that, it will never mean that. If you can trigger some really stupid people on the left that way, I say go for it.....or even better, do the "okay" sign below your waist and if they look at it, you get to hit them.

In that clip they say it's a "new game" but it wasn't it was incredibly old even then.

The problem is really how many people on the left have gotten completely divorced from reality, chasing non-existent Nazis and seeing racism and oppression everywhere. The whole bit about the okay hand sign meaning white power was something created by 4chan to see if the morons on the left would run with it and they did. To this day they are too stupid to realize that they are nothing but the punch line of a joke that's now well over a year old.

 

The joke isn't that people are not flashing the okay sign, it is that the okay sign doesn't and has never stood for white power. No matter how many times some edgelord flashes it to "troll the libs", they aren't "pretending to use it" they are actually using the sign, it just doesn't mean what the "libs" think it means. Now eventually the white supremacists may adopt the sign, either because they are fooled into thinking it means white power, or to intentionally change the meaning to be/include white power. In that event, things will be much more murky, because you will have to determine in every instance whether or not someone is intending to represent white power, that something is okay, or "troll the libs". I don't know if there is credible evidence that we have reached that point yet.
