And no conference championship game appearances for Houston football since the 1970's. The tradition continues...

and how long did it take the Jaguars to go from the league's laughing stock to where they are now? I'm pretty sure Texans have more playoff appearances since Khan took over.

I thought Watson played pretty good today for a rookie going up against his former D coordinator.

Vrabel probably knew what he struggles with most and I thought he played better than average.

Accuracy was much improved from week 1.

Kid just needed to get the rust off.

    Duke is outplaying Whitney Merciless.

    Hmmm.

Watson looked better today. Head scratcher plays but he’s going. Manning sucked his rookie year.

Run defense is a joke. So is play calling.

That "vaunted" pass rush can kiss my a$$

ONE sack against a back up and a third string Tackle?

Von Miller has as many sacks in a game and a half than the entire Texans have in 2 full games.

Yet somehow, Clowney, a member of our great pass rush, managed to get a 15 yard penalty while not even playing.

Titans did a good job of protecting Gabbert by having him get the ball out quick, using wildcat, pounding Henry etc. There were not many pass rushing attempts.

The division race isn't over yet if we can play even a little better. We might not have lost either of our games if we hadn't thrown interceptions. We wouldn't have lost either game with great coaching. Our stupid penalties also killed us and Clowney proved he is dumber than a rock. I'm not giving up yet.

As for Pat Mahomes, well he was my dream pick, but KC moved up smartly to snag him. 6 TDs and no picks against Pittsburgh is no joke.

Maybe these are skewed stats but if you would have told me Watson would go over 300 yards passing with nearly 70 percent completion and a couple TDs I’d say no way we lose. Smh

I didn't believe in the Jags till this point, but I'm ready to give them the division. Without their best RB, they are making the Patriots look like a scrub team. The Texans need to pack everything up for the year and just try to stay healthy. There's nothing to gain this season.

To be caught on trick plays is on the coaching, the offense play calling ...all complete reasons for this loss

It’s amazing how they’ve actually pieced together a decent run game but still can’t setup a play action pass.

It’s amazing how they can’t get TEs involved but they can force passes into Hopkins double coverage. It’s amazing how they will be trying exactly the same plays next week too. It’s amazing how fuller didn’t make a differences to coverage. No TEs no slots out of the backfield screens or swings no misdirection.

It’s amazing how hard it is to win a game when your team gives up pretty much a footballfield full of hankies.

I’m mad at myself for finally buying into this team. Thinking with Watson and Watt being healthy, overall team structure seems to make sense, Titans and Colts still unlikely to be great, at least WC seems in play.

But in the end they are still the Texans. Where there’s an excuse for failure or mediocrity every year and going 9-7 to the playoffs is celebrated as spectacular success.

    https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sp...s-absolutely-embarrassed-somehow-13233720.php

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Texans were embarrassed.

    Humiliated.

    Outworked and picked apart.

    Take your pick, Houston.

Blaine Gabbert also beat Deshaun Watson, Mike Vrabel completely outcoached Bill O'Brien and the beat-up Titans somehow beat the still-winless Texans 20-17 Sunday at Nissan Stadium.

If O'Brien's job was on the line, he'd be fired.

The fifth-year coach just received a four-year contract extension, though, which means that the Texans are just being themselves two games into a new season.

    Disappointing and letting you down.

    Two other key points:

    What offensive line?

Lamar Miller is doing his job. Alfred Blue has been solid as a fill-in backup.

But it's going to be a long season – and I mean longgggggg – if the Texans' offensive line continues to allow the franchise's young quarterback to take hit after hit after hit.

Watson was cracked, tossed around and driven into the grass quarter after quarter.

The Texans' OL was a major question mark last season, entered the offseason as the team's most important Q and was a slow work-in-progress all preseason. Then starting right tackle Seantrel Henderson – a free-agent gamble – went down in Week 1.

Watson still held on to the ball too long Sunday and again threw a costly interception into double coverage. But the line also continually let its QB down and the Texans are asking too much of their second-year quarterback if they expect him to consistently endure this barrage.

    The Texans are not improving

A fake-punt TD for the wrong team.

False starts, holding penalties and constant miscues.

Jadeveon Clowney too hurt to play – then foolishly being flagged for sideline taunting.

Having to claw back against a beat-up team relying on a journeyman backup quarterback.

The Texans still looked like a below .500 team Sunday and continued to disappoint.

They were down 14-0 to Gabbert's Titans and started a Week 2 "must win" still in preseason form.

You might be able to win the old, bad AFC South that way. But O'Brien's team should be much better than this in Year Five and there's simply no excuse for the Texans continuing to struggle in the same old, tired ways.

Well that’s really it then isn’t it?

We’re already to the part of the season where team members are criticizing fans and we haven’t even played a home game.

Get ready for the boobirds Deshaun. We’ll be leaving early to get our BBQ ribs.

LOL, that's fine, I'm glad that he thinks they still have a chance this year, but it just doesn't appear to be consistent with reality.
