They were forced to interview 65 witnesses to defend him against an alleged sexual assault in his past. He has clear financial liabilities. He has lied under oath five times and that can be used against him in the future, if not now. We don't see red flags like this. Gorsuch is an *******, but had a clean background. There were many others like Gorsuch to choose from.

Why nominate Kavanaugh? Why do they need this specific (badly damaged) nominee so badly?

SMH, this has to be a new low when it comes to pathetic desperation.....not really surprising when you look at the state of the left today, but it's just really disappointing.

You'll have decades of him in the SCOTUS to find out why. I know you are excited!

There were 65 girls in Kavanaugh's HS that he did not sexually assault!

Kavanaugh has that going for him.

Trump sure has an eye for picking the best of the best!

Maybe Kavanaugh and Judge Clarence Thomas can hang out and talk about their sexual assaults back in the days. Relive those good old times.

I think we both know why. Kennedy had a secret plan to get Trump to nominate Kavanaugh and then he knew Kavanaugh's dirty laundry would come out but the Democrats could do nothing to stop it and then he knew Kavanaugh would get selected to the Supreme Court and THEN HE WOULD OVERTURN LEGAL ABORTIONS AFTER KILLING ALL THE LIBERALS ON THE COURT! I hear he has secret sexual assault squads ready to attack once he is confirmed and that they will impregnate EVERYONE AND FORCE THEM TO HAVE THE KIDS! Once he gets his federal credit card it is rumored that he will buy at least $450,000 in Trea Turner and Max Scherzer jerseys and then buy at least $900,000 in Nationals season tickets but he is so wasteful that he will not EVEN GO TO THE GAMES!!! He will burn the tickets! Diane Feinstein told me this is already under investigation by the FBI!

    THIS IS NOT NORMAL!

Yeah, there's a reason why bassos_trigunum and russia380 had the Kavanaugh Defense Playbook
Russia380, it doesn't take a QAnon/Hannity conspiracy level of shitbirdery to realize that Kavanaugh, aside from being another dull "federalist" society hack whose job it is to help the powerful and afflict the powerless in exchange for shitty baseball tickets, represents value to the bumbling gangsturd in chief because of his tremendous, bigly views of Executive branch powers and its immunity from any kind of criminal oversight or laws it doesn't like.

Anyway, keep up the full court defense press posts - I read every single one, really. The whole world is watching.

I fully agree. You've convinced me Sam. Your legal prowess and analysis is powerful and perfect. I don't think what you said is a conspiracy at all. It's reality and Kavanaugh must be stopped for the good of America. Trump is clearly setting himself up to expand his executive powers so that no one will be able to stop him near the end of his term. He will be able to establish the fascist structure that you have warned us against. Once this is done he will have control and democracy will be dead. I live everyday in fear of this now.

I'm glad you read everything I write. I feel much honor and pride since you are without a doubt the most intelligent and most eloquent member on Clutchfans.

pretty good analysis of how the confirmation hearings continue to be as Elena Kagan described them, "a vapid and hollow charade."

    Paradoxically,

"we actually know far more about Kavanaugh’s judicial philosophy than we did about Elena Kagan’s judicial philosophy when she joined the Court in 2010. Kagan spent her career as a law professor, a law school dean, and a government attorney. Because she never served as a judge, and wrote surprisingly few law review articles during her academic career, she had almost no track record for the Senate to scrutinize during her nomination hearings. Kagan’s lack of a paper trail made her the least forthcoming nominee since David Souter in 1990, a highly ironic development in light of Kagan’s previous criticism of the opaque nature of the nomination hearings. . . . The bottom line is the criticism that Kavanaugh was not forthright enough during his confirmation hearings ultimately rings hollow. By historical standards, and when compared to previous nominations, the Senate has abundant evidence of what kind of justice Brett Kavanaugh will be. For any senator to claim otherwise is deeply disingenuous. One might even say that such claims are little more than a vapid and hollow charade."

Kavanaugh went to Georgetown Prep, an all-boys high school in Rockville, Maryland. That calls to question how well those 65 HS girls knew him.
