this is what happens when a gm doesn't make a trade to improve your team, with all the injuries this team has had.
I don't have a good feeling about the Astros and Oakland. Astros can't win at home: A's win anywhere and everywhere.
What you see is what you get. I worried about his timing when he went on the DL, but the back is hurting him. This is likely the offense come October.... Altuve limited with a bad knee, Correa ineffective with a bad back, Springer and Gurriel with hand issues. Bregman and White will have to be really good.
Tough to get upset at Rondon. That out Bregman hit was about 500x harder than anything they struck in the top of the inning. Once again, this loss at home can be put squarely on the shoulders of the offense. One of the most inexplicable things I’ve ever seen in sports.
Where is Tucker? They gave Davis so many shots with this line-up and he's just garbage. Hinch put your foot down and say enough is enough.
I don’t blame Rondon, I just don’t like him over multiple frames. Yes the offense was bad and has been bad and with injuries I don’t have a lot of optimism it will magically get better.
It’s sad to say this about a 100 win team, but I flat out don’t trust this team at home, regardless of who they’re playing.
Yeah, a trade at the August deadline would not have hurt, we have more than enough depth at AAA that we could flip some of the talent that's being wasted there and possibly help us for when the Rule 5 draft comes, and given the team's injuries, and the fact that the FO probably had to have known that Correa wasn't 100%, meant an insurance move should have been made. I love the Astros and our FO, but in this era where the contenders really go all in and stack as much talent as they could get, we needed a move, and we definitely had the MiLB depth for it.
Word on the street says, "Altuve, Rondon, and Osuna got rest a couple days ago", so it's all good. Don't "pick a fight" with anyone who says otherwise. It gets old. _______ 2-1 series win vs ARI is acceptable. Let's get the next Two.
We've been waiting the entire year for him to do something. He's been mediocre at the plate the whole year, injured or not. It's going to be a real liability in the playoffs. Most overhyped player on the team by far.
Agreed. Hot garbage. I'll go even further and say he's been bad since the ALCS. Ground ball double play incoming. I'm surprised his BA is .239
But the Stros did take the first two at home against Red Sox and they have a better line-up than Arizona.
I'm honestly don't think Correa makes us better right now. I still think he could be the MVP next year, but if he's hurt, he's hurt. Toughing it out while being abysmal isn't good for anybody. I think our best team has Bregman or Marwin at SS.
