Really disappointed George didn't swing at that two strike slider. He jumped up and down in anger but it was a strike.
It was off the plate, but close enough. However, Ziegler is making a living on hitters trying to do something with that pitch... even if Springer swings, makes contact, odds are it doesn't go far. We know he wasn't really looking for it, and with the side-arm delivery, no right-handed batter is seeing the ball all that well there.
I don’t like Rondon coming out for a second inning. I know it was only one hitter but still. This is a key series playing the DBacks. We didn’t necessarily have the starting pitching advantage on paper in this series. We can’t afford to lose another game this series if the A’s sweep the Rays.

Right. He hits a sexy long ball now and then so we associate that visual with him but other than that he brings zero value.
