That's the only reason I could think for anyone to be there, but it wasn't a regular duty station, I was there for medical reasons.
Surprisingly anemic response considering the amount of posting you're doing in this thread against Beto supporters and their optimism. After @CCorn hit you with the simple questions, I was waiting for the wall of text on why Ted is better than Beto. Bobby is slippin'
I'm not really a big supporter of Ted Cruz, I think he's likely to support most of the right things and oppose most of what he should, but that's the extent of it. With O'Rourke, he's likely to support most of the wrong things and oppose most of what he should support. It's really simple as that. If there were a better candidate, I'd be all over it.
and by "right things" you mean corporate interests despite the fact corporations can't elect officials. interesting that you're at least content if not happy that your vote doesn't matter.
If Beto will oppose things you think are right and support things you think are wrong, then Beto winning will likely be one of best things for Texas
I've spent about 3 weeks total there over the years. Always enjoyed it: great food, great people, great outdoorsyness/daytrips, lots of cool historical stuff in El Centro and elsewhere. So that's my anecdotal .02
Oh, I forgot. You know what's better for me and everyone else more so than we do. Better vote for Cruz so he can: Screw over gay rights Ban abortions Support the death penalty Keep mar1juana illegal, so opiates can destroy more lives Abolish the U.S. Department of Education. Continue to be against the climate change pledge Strangle EPA agencies Vote NO on protecting ocean, coastal, and Great Lakes ecosystems.
More so than you? Probably. More so than everyone? No, there's plenty of people who know what's good. Not a thing. Not something he has the power to do. Which is a good thing to everyone other than murderers....is that the demographic you are going for? Those two things aren't linked and that's not something your boy Beta would be able to change. That's not a thing Cruz can accomplish, but wouldn't be a bad thing. Again, not a bad thing. Not something he can do on his own, but not a bad thing. Depending on what that would entail, not necessarily a bad thing.
Yet they call them progressives, while conservatives are resistant to the only thing constant in life - change. But then you have your eyes at the back of your head so not surprising that people moving forward would look backwards to you.
Plus it's not even that poor now-- lotsa old money moving north of the border and investing, what w the troubles south of the border.
My soon to be sister-in-law is from there. Her family loves it and doesn't want to leave, even though they could. They're white, even! 4 cents, put it on my tab
