It is all about how you bounce back.

    He was off today.

Just needs to play better and move on.

You never know. That Patriot defense may be the best he faces all year as well.

Not the best move to pick a bone with McClain either. Not a good look. A fair question and it's about more than what the media will write. It's about what everyone with half a football brain is thinking.

I also give Watson some slack. If it were up to him I'm sure he would have wanted to get more reps in the preseason.

They seriously need a clock coach.

BOB does not have the track record to justify his piss poor attitude. A prick and a loser

Aaron Colvin on Rob Gronkowski catch 'That's BS in my opinion. I don't think he caught that ball. I think that was the big play in the game, but it is what it is. We got to get that ball and make it unquestionable'

Aaron Colvin on the Rob Gronkowski catch "It's tough man, but I mean we're playing in New England. So you know what that means."

I'm a touched worried that Watson "didn't play with his usual 'energy". First game of the season...against, maybe the best team in the league? What more does he need to pep up? :(

He needed a few games before the season started to where he could get back into the flow of things and knock off all of the rust, he hasn't played in a long time.....and he didn't put in 2 full quarters of work in all of preseason combined. Brady for example, played 2 full quarters in both game 2 and game 3.

Agreed, the very first thing he did was fumble a hand off to give the Patriots the ball in the red zone and later he missed a wide open TE for an easy TD, right there, that's the game. So as bad as things were, if Watson was a little less awful, the Texans could have actually won.

Any success whatsoever that this team achieves in 2018 will be in spite of the coaching staff led by BOB. Although not impossible, that will be a lot to overcome.

In pads in actual live game conditions. There is no comparison between team practice and a game with an opponent.

    Bill O'Brien sucks.

Watson looked bad, but that's to be expected given the team chose to forgo his preseason. I don't know that that was the wrong decision, but it was the wrong decision if they wanted their best shot to win today's game

I'm a bit more lenient on Watson, because these are the Pats and for some reason, coaching doesn't want to give him more reps. We play the t*** and hopefully our confidence goes back up.

Also, I don't think the BOB 'not my job' quote is bad. He's got a point. It gives the Pats a chance to take time and decide on a play. The refs should be better, but what use is it complaining about the refs, when literally the D Line is getting held every play.

Also, holy ****, Tony Romo is probably the best color commentator I've ever heard. He made such a boring game far more entertaining. I really wish he could call our games.

    His quote is stupid.

It may give them time to call a play, but it's not like they needed it. They we're marching right down the field. In fact, the timeout would have been more beneficial to our defense as it would have allowed them to catch their breath for a good three minutes or so while the play was reviewed. It would have allowed them to talk situational football in discussing how to keep Brady out of the end zone.

Moreover, you can't coach the game afraid of what the other coach is doing. You need to play chess to his chess. This quote speaks volumes to me that O'Brien and his coaching staff were playing checkers to New England's chess. You can't not call a timeout because you're afraid that the opposing team, who is in a rhythm, is going to have a chance to call a play. That's utter BS.

Either O'Brien is lying because he doesn't have the ability to admit that he was wrong and made a stupid mistake (which is what is happening here), or this is the dumbest, most telling moment of his career and it shows he's in over his head.

    Maybe both, though?
