That "something" is the overall shakiness of his entire Astros tenure. Dude was an enigma his entire time here.
There is no question to talent overall is better, it has just been a matter of putting it together offensively. If White keeps hitting, that makes a huge difference.
White, Kemp, Bregman... and Marwin coming on strong late. And while it looks bad now, Altuve/Correa could each go on a tear at any point... I dare anybody to bet that won’t happen at any time before November.
It is absolutely ridiculous the season Alex Bregman has had and the player he has become. .300/.401/.560 now on the season.
That would be a yes. This was a big win for us. We are going to have to keep winning as A's show no signs of giving up and the road to WS much easier if we win the division.
We have one of the 4 tearing it up right now. Imagine if Altuve, Springer, and Correa in particular start crushing the ball. We might not lose a game in the postseason if they all start balling like Bregman.
Excellent game! Sad that Cole couldn't get the win, but as another poster said, he runs his pitch count too high too quickly. Far cry from early in the season when he usually went 7 or even 8 innings. A win is a win, still very happy. The bullpen is waaaay stronger now than it was at the start of the season.
Rangers ****. Still consider them a bunch of classless a**holes for not switching the series venues with us last year after the hurricane. I am hoping they can beat A's at least once but not counting on it.
