One of my favorite Burt films is “Hooper”. I also grew up on the “Smokey...” films. He was and always will be a legend in my book. I can’t help but feel a part of me died with him. RIP

I loved how all of his 80's movies had the outtakes at the end. Those were often funnier than the movie itself.

I wish more movies would do that.

    Big fan. RIP

I mean, many are still alive, no? ... or most ... except Newman and Brando, but they'd be 93 and 94 right now.

It's a shame today's actors all seem so bland in comparison to what we used to have.

I doubt we will ever see anything again like Frog, Snowman and the Bandit.

RIP Burt. Best Lil Whorehouse also a good one. He had an amazing cameo in The Player as well. It was supposedly all adlibbed. Great stuff. Both Cannonball Runs were among my favorites. Deliverance was great but kind of in a class by itself.

Later in my life, I caught him on the old Gunsmoke series. I really enjoyed that.

You know, I know this is a burt thread, but Jerry Reed was criminally underrated as a guitarist. He never gets mentioned with the other greats, but how many people today can play east bound and down at all, let alone how jerry played it.

Just glad jerry now has his running buddy with him in heaven.

We all talked about him when he died. He was amazing.

    I forgot about these, you're a genius.

The Player is a high quality movie.

Most fitting tribute I've seen today.

I grew up on Burt Reynolds as a kid. Oddly enough, I probably saw Smokey & the Bandit part 2 the most, mainly because that was when we initially got HBO and it played at least twice a day. "Yo mama is so ugly..." I still laugh at that ****.
