Bregs is really our MVP up to this point in our season.

He's not only leading the team in HRs and other hitting categories.

He almost singlehandedly turned the media narrative about the Astros away from the Osuna controversy to the crazy Astros HR celebrations. Team is cool again to talk about.

He's the face of the Astros right now.

Stankees need to lay the smackdown on the uppity A's tomorrow. Getting a little tired of their roided up energy and Bob Saget-looking manager.

Also tell me this is not the most hittable face in the AL.

I don't hate Lowrie really. If it wasn't for him being on the A's, I wouldn't hate him at all. I respect him, he was a product of the Berkman trade (via Melancon), and got us Peacock and Stassi. I also love defensively versatile switch hitters, they're about as complete of a (position) player you can get. If Marwin walks I wouldn't mind trying to get him this offseason if the price is right (unlikely) and he's willing to return to Houston (also unlikely).
And lastly, is Brendan McCurry all we got from the second Lowrie trade? Not a McCurry fan at all, he's an extremely unreliable closer, seems like every time he pitches he gives up a run, probably has a WHIP over 2. I guess Oakland picked up most of the salary? But that was probably not the brightest move to pick him up, considering we had Correa and Bregman high in the system and about to be ready.

Just here to say that the Texas Rangers have officially been eliminated from the division race.

X-rays showed no fractures. Ball hit the fleshy part between the small finger and wrist. He will not pitch this series to allow the swelling to subside.

I was at the game yesterday. Who else was at the game? It felt like the whole city dragged themselves through the rain to the stadium.

Josh Reddick is having a down season, but I really appreciate the fact that he bats up and down the lineup without complaint.

Can a guy complain where he bats when he's hitting .240 with a .698 OPS?

I think you missed the point, he could be whiny and say that is the reason for hitting .240/.698

Nah he got the point just fine. Josh should be grateful he is a regular in the lineup, period. If Reddick was complaining about his spot he would be swiftly booted.

Yes, that would be whiny and ridiculous.

Do you have someone in mind to replace Reddick? I think he's having a down year, I just don't think they have a better replacement. He's a competent right fielder with a very good arm

Congratulations to both! Deetz, while ineligible for the playoffs, has shown promise in the minors and can hopefully bolster our pen for the rest of the regular season. Hopefully this time will finally be the charm for JD Davis, White had a similar path this year with promotions/demotions. Still waiting for Tucker.

I'm guessing these were strictly a byproduct of the Marwin and Rondon injuries.

Luhnow has requested fans to NOT wear white if dining in the new centerfield area of MMP.

Says it might be affecting the players' ability to see the ball.

Also says the new LED lights might be affecting things.
