    I highly doubt that, you could put in a piece of rock, as long as it agrees with them, they would be fine with it as the president, that is the current GOP.

    When this is all over, however that happens, I will personally never let them live it down. The people who are so insulted by kneeling during the national anthem elevated perhaps the most unqualified and stupid public figure in our country to our most important job. In doing so, his supporters have disrespected our country and its ideals more than any NFL player ever could.

    Who is smarter? Distinguished career generals and the former CEO of ExxonMobile or the guy they describe as a "****ing idiot" and "fifth-grader" who failed at everything other than personal bankruptcy?

    Trump will face jail time, but not while in office, he can't leave, he knows that NY will charge him immediately in the fraud case from his charity.

    Once he leaves office he will be charged. He will fight tooth and nail to stay in office as long as possible.

    That's what scares me. I'm not saying Trump has done anything on a scale or scope similar but typically when strongmen leaders fear punishment (whether that be getting shot a la Gaddafi or Nazis getting tried at Nuremburg) they cling onto power with extreme fervor and increasing desperation- usually with disasterious results. I'm not saying we're going to turn into Syria overnight; but you are correct in a political psych sense that things will only get worse if Trump senses the tide is turning against him. I'm not sure what that would look like- it could be as innocuous as angry tweets or mass pardons of political allies or something much worse; but he won't go down willingly if he fears some sort of retribution

    I heard from a podcast that the typical sentence involving that kind of charity fraud is being banned from being the head of a charity for 10 years.

    Trump straight up lied and used it as his slush fund in broad daylight. Even paid for Eric's $7 boy scouts membership fee with it.
