All I can say is thank God for Casey Close and his “outrage”. I hope Luhnow sends him a Christmas card every year with a picture of Bregman on it.
Got good stuff on the field. Off the field, let's see what happens on the Wednesday. If he's found not guilty and cleared, all is good. If not, then we'll see. I really value character and us being "good guys". Still a fan of Rondon and Pressly more.
I look at it like this. I want him to move forward. If he messes up off the field drop him. Zero tolerance, but the past is the past. Someone was going to give him another chance might as well be us. Just my two cents from day one.
Giles has his era around 7 in Toronto. Britton has an era around 5 in New York. Herrera has an era over 4 in Washington. Familia has an era under 3 in Oakland. Overall Luhnow pretty damn good getting Presley and Osuna at the deadline. Familia would have been a good get too but you can’t get them all.
All for second chances. I just still do not like the bad publicity, as well as making the move before the case was settled. But hopefully Luhnow did his homework, and all works out. The Pressly acquisition was absolutely genius. Went under the radarr as he's not nearly as big of a name as many of the other guys who were moved, but he has been performing extremely well.
Lunhow built a damn good bullpen on the fly. Pressley, Rondon, Osuna is way better than why would have been ideal last season (Harris, Devenski, Giles?) In the postseason, we’re going to be hard to beat after 5 innings if the bats can come to life. Wish we would’ve picked up a bat in August. Tons of August movement this season. Everyone trying to make the next Verlander move to put them over the top.
Astros salvage the Split, so series wasn't a disaster. Boston and A's losing makes it better. The main thing is Playoff Health. We've struggled offensively this season compared to last, but the pitching is better, by far. And the current bats have already proven being more trust-worthy in the playoffs than '97-'05. Astros Dynasty easily eminent ...
Didn't think about that but that's pretty impressive rebuilding the entire back of the bullpen of a WS champion without spending a lot of money. (Yes, he traded a lot of talent for it).
