Sure... but that inning could be a microcosm of what could happen in any big game. They pitch carefully/around the big 4... and one of the other guys is going to have to cash in. White/Margo/Yuli... ironically all of them were considered better options as of recently vs any of the big 4 sans Bregman.
This has to be about the 4th or 5th time in the last 2 weeks we've brought in a pitcher specifically for a hitter only to walk them. the **** is even the point?

Absolutely terrible. Not our day. Pathetic, once again waste a bases loaded opportunity. Yes, we got the one run, but it should have been more and it probably isn't enough. And had Bregman not bobbled the likely double play ball, we'd be up by 2 instead of one. Hats off to White for his defensive gem to save another run. Thankfully we got out of this jam and still lead by one. Cole still in line for the win.
Is Devenski back yet? He's going to have to be both the 6th inning guy and the lefty specialist when he is.
I am guessing he isn’t really “back” if Hinch goes to Sipp and Smith. Got very fortunate on the Trout at bat. That could have gotten really ugly.
Just totally relieved that we got out of that jam without losing the lead. Really would gave been nice to have had more runs. but as long as win all will be good.
